I never leave Google reviews, but I had to today. The manager of this store is incredibly professional and I'm amazed at how she kept her cool while an extremely rude customer and her family were yelling at her and harassing her over not accepting items for return. She calmly explained that she could not accept the products they bought due to a certain policy, and recommended they go to the store they bought it at to see if anything could be done. The customer immediately started shouting at her and accused the manager of yelling and being rude and "terrible at customer service." The customer also called her racist (she definitely was not... she was responding professionally even when this customer and her family were yelling by saying "I hope you have a good rest of your day" to shut down the conversation). One of the customer's family members tried to get my friend to agree with them, and in response he said "I think she's doing a great job" and they proceeded to call my friend racist as well and yelled at him. You can't treat employees horribly and claim they're being racist when they don't want to help you anymore because you're yelling at them, especially as a group.
The manager did not deserve that treatment at all. Shame on people like that. I'm glad the customer who harassed this manager also wrote a review and claims she will never come back to that location again. GOOD. Leave the poor manager alone! This customer also swore at the manager while leaving, calling her the B word in front of her children. Terrible behavior from the customer. Also, you can clearly see on her receipt that she bought ~$380 worth of products, some at deep discounts, which might have been why the returns were denied; I'm guessing some were final sale or something by looking at the details of the receipt. I ordered my first online pick up for two Happy Planner kits Teacher Editions. I shopped around since today was the last day for specials.
While in line I witnessed both cashier's talking bad about their co-worker WHILE attending customers. They made no conversation with the customers in front of them but kept talking to each other behind the counter while they were checking customers out.
I went to the back of the store to pick up my order and went back in line to return one of the Happy Planner kits since I had found one during my visit.
The cashier couldn't figure out how to give me the refund. She called her manager which I believe her name was Annie.
Annie in front of everyone waiting in line behind me huffed and puffed and told me "you should have just told me that in the back when you picked it up so that I could have taken care of it back there!". Then she asked "do you know how much it was!" I showed her the email confirmation of my purchase and it was not itemized. She became apparently disgruntled and the cashier did the math on her phone calculator to help her give me a refund.
After everything was said and done Annie, the manager, muffled a negative comment under her breath and the cashier said, "I know right!?".
Needless to say, I felt awful leaving that place! I really wanted to ask for a full refund at the end of that transaction and never support that Michaels again! I am a teacher and fully enjoy Michaels but I was sincerely disappointed at the unprofessionalism in...

I was shopping with my family and everyone was paying for their own stuff. Very rudely she tells the rep only two coupons can be used. We were a family of 5. She made it extremely embarrassing for me at the register with a line of customers. She kept huffing and puffing and kept telling the rep how many did you use, don’t use her rewards blah blah. I have been a loyal customer to michaels for over 15 years. Have spent a lot of money and to be mistreated like that has made it very upsetting for me to ever go back to this location. My local store has never ever made it an issue with how many coupons I can use as long it’s been rung out separately. They appreciate my business not make me wanna leave without buying. I work in customer service and to deal with a manager that is rude and disrespectful will make it hard for people to wanna shop here.
