Maurices — Attraction in Schererville

I went to look for a gift for my Aunt, and was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the store. The fashions were giving fashion! Everything was well organized. I was greeted by Taylor and she was friendly and professional. She provided me the details regarding a great sale and everything was going well until wait for it…………….It was a humid day, and I stopped at Panera and got a large refreshing 1/2 & 1/2 green tea & lemonade. After a couple of minutes, I had to go to the ladies room and was advised in an abrupt manner that they did not have public restroom, but I could go next door to another store. Okay maybe it’s just me but I find that tacky. You are a store, that has women coming to try on clothing, and you don’t offer basic accommodations? Then worst you direct a customer to another store what happened to “Give the lady what she wants shopping concept” in this case “Give the Lady a Restroom” to deliver comfort, and a Great Customer Experience. When I returned from next door, the cashier Sofia was kind, super polite, apologetic and friendly but I do have to say the demeanor of the others were not as welcoming as before they sent me next door to the restroom. The only thing I advised them was that I did not think that was right, and after going next door, I will not be trying on the other item. You cannot tell me the 3 of them are going to Walmart or the store next door to use the facilities. Especially when the store next door just opened in March. This store reminds me of a mini Forever 21, but for those in their 30's. Lots of clothes, but quiet disorganized. Some racks are quiet high, so I found myself asking an associate for help or tip-toeing. You can spend about 30 - 45 minutes here, but they don't offer restrooms to their customers - you can walk yourself to Strack or Walmart. The staff at this location is amazing. The manager was running around like crazy, but stopped what she was doing because she saw I didn't like anything I had just tried on. She asked me what I liked and ended up givong me 5 conplete outfits! Some I needed a bigger size in and she got them.
