As far as AMC theaters go, this one has some of the most updated features in Seattle. We’re talking plush robotic love seats, an ICEE machine, loads of parking, pristine digital projectors—the whole shebang! But I haven’t sat foot in this theater to see a movie in over a year, until last weekend. We didn’t see a movie, that’s probably not a great idea in a middle of the pandemic rn, but we did stop by on an evening walk and bought a blue raspberry ICEE. We definitely got a little emotional sucking down that perfect slushy treat. Really hoping AMC’s able to take out enough loans from mysterious global third parties to survive a post-covid world. I miss movies.

Well the theater has definitely had a remodel since I was there last, since i had not been there for awhile I was expecting a older inside and worn out chairs, but instead i was walking into a brand new, re done theater, with reclining leather chairs lots of leg room self serve butter for your popcorn a wide assortment of theater treats crunchy popcorn a nice sound system and a charging station for electric cars in the parking lot,and just a over all feel of a theater that has been there a while but knew it had to upgrade to keep up with the ever growing demand of a luxury theater without the luxury price.

They have the nice comfy recliner chairs, and a ton of free parking! However, this theatre only has 6 screens, so they miss a lot of the mid-range movies (annoyingly often A24 ones). Also the snack bar is pretty small and fairly limited in selection. Despite that fact, and the booze that they serve at the AMC Seattle (in the U District), this is my favorite AMC theatre in/around the city. If a movie’s playing here, this my theatre of choice.

Every time I drive up to this theatre I question whether or not it’s even open. The parking lot is hyuuuge and empty-adjacent, the signage is free of, well, the sign bit, and not only is there not a line out the door, there’s no line period.

I’m always thrilled when the door opens and I see the popcorn. The staff today was pretty damn great. The guy who got my wildly-overpriced popcorn and drink was oddly nerdily, Marty McFlyish hot. And nice! He was nice, too. I’m not THAT shallow (#IAm). He was so adorbs that I accidentally spilled my popcorn all over the floor (and not in a prison shower kind of way). I spologized profusely but he immediately made me feel better about my klutziness as md offered to refill me… Get your mind out of the gutters, you incorrigible piglets… I wouldn’t let him do THAT until our second date.

The ticket guy was equally lovely a human. When I apologized for Popcornpocalypse, he sweetly said: ā€œof you can’t spill a little popcorn at a movie theatre, where CAN you?ā€

Where, indeed, good sir? Where, indeed.

The seats are great. The staff.are fab and cute. The theatres are spacious. The popcorn/drink cost more than the film, but that’s life.

You should come here and spill...

I used to try to avoid this theater before the remodel, but ever since the remodel, I try to go here. The seats are great - roomy and spacious. They're more comfortable than Regal Thornton's seats and have material that's easier to wash off and don't leave stains, so I'm not sitting there wondering what's spilled there and is still there (for those clean freaks). The only issue with the seats is that if you're assigned seats or pick seats based on the designated pairs, you don't have much room to put your popcorn/food on the armrests. If you go one off, then you get 2 armrests and more room. I like the soda refill machines, so I can try different drinks while I'm there. The butter machine is also helpful, so I can do it myself. There's also usually fewer people at this theater. The only cons I have are the AMC rewards program and the lack of some more popular movies playing, but I make do since I don't go to the movies much and prefer watching at home anyway if I have to. The birthday reward for AMC is better than...

This is a beautiful little theater! Catch is that it doesn't feel little at all! Modern and clean. Has an intimate feel vs. the larger megaplexes like the Alderwood AMC Loewes or the Regal Northgate. Definitely a hidden gem that deserves a visit on your next movie night! Right as I walked into the screen area it had a spectacular feel (screen 4 I ththis. It was bigger than I imagined! It smelled clean (much appreciated), it was comfortable, with many electric reclining seats, interior made good use of black colors for an excellent screen presentation (as expected in top notch movie houses), movie had great sound that wasn't distorted or overpowering, and the picture was bright and clear! Oh and there are bathrooms on the first and 2nd floor (which were nice and clean as well)! Overall a wonderful experience. The surrounding area looks a bit rough but just exclude the theater and you're good to go! Give it a movie or two =). You won't go wrong. It's become one of my favorite go to theaters to get away...
