Today was my 4th time coming in for gel mani/gel pedis. The first three times were amazing. They har made me feel so welcome and made my nails so beautiful, and had been so careful and meticulous for my basic solid color gel mani/gel pedi. Today, the lady doing my pedicure was removing the gel polish and kept buffing my nail beds on my toes until- until several were thin and red. Another nail tech came by and whispered very, very quietly to her in another language. I don’t mind non-English conversations- my mother is fluent in Tagalog and I only know English. But whatever was said between them completely changed how I was being treated. I got handed off to four different nail techs, all of them barely wanting anything to do with me let alone touch me or look at me, even though I hadn’t done or said anything except sit in the chair, put my hands & feet where I was asked to, and just do what I was told so they could do their “service.” I thought I might have said or done something offensive. It wasn’t that busy in the salon earlier today, but I was the only person out of the 4-5 other customers having to change nail techs when I was being polite, obedient, and was just wanting to feel nice after a hard work week. I saw my toe nails looking raw, and I was the one to ask for regular nail polish instead of gel. They were glad to switch, but then they barely even wanted to touch me from that point forward. Every single nail tech each rushed through everything, and I was trying very hard to just relax and trust that they were being professional. I felt like I was all of a sudden a huge bother. When a different nail tech finally committed to my basic gel manicure, she kept twisting my thumbs the wrong way too much and being rough while positioning my fingers for painting. I tried to gently, slowly adjust my thumb back to hurt less and without trying to mess up her concentration, and she angrily goes, “don’t move, you’re not supposed to move.” So I said right back, “I’m sorry- I don’t mean to, but this twisting is hurting me.” She went quiet right away, but didn’t let me untwist until she was done painting that thumb nail. I don’t know what I did wrong- I’m the one with paper-thin toenails and my feet feeling like sand paper because they rushed with the foot grater, but I was made to feel so unwelcome almost the entire time. I am so disappointed...
Read moreOh no, I don’t like writing bad reviews but I can’t help it this time. I understand that when you make an appointment at a nail place you’re really only asking for the general window since they will finish all other customers that were there before you anyways. I get that. It’s just that when I came in they were kind of rude when I mentioned my appointment. The waiting area is a row of chairs right in front of the pedicure chairs so it’s kind of awkward staring at them while waiting. Then when it was my turn they forgot what I was there for and I told them a pedicure while I was fishing around to see where I placed the color I picked out. The lady then reached down to pick it out of my in-between leg area if you know what I mean(which is just weird). Then took me to the chair that another lady had just got done in.....and she started the water and asked how I like the temperature. So I asked if she was going to clean it first, and she said “oh ya” then picked up an old sponge from the cart and cleaned it for about 1 minute, rinsed it and then filled it up again. Didn’t see if she changed the towel or not but I just went with it. The only reason I didn’t leave is because when you book online they say they charge it after your appointment but I was afraid I’d get charged anyway. She allllmmost put the wrong color on but I stopped her and showed her. They charged my card while I was still getting the pedicure done- I received the email and text during the leg massage part. They ask you for gratuity at the beginning so I was not pleased at how much I had given after the fact. There was very little scrubbing then I’m used to for a 25$ pedicure with basic nail color. Now I remember why I don’t get pedicures. I’m also not sure they really sanitize anything in this establishment. The check out process was nice. I showed a very nice young lady that I had paid online and she...
Read moreOne stars because the said sorry and gave me some of my money back. But that’s just because I can’t give 0 stars.
I left before they finished my nails. The product and service was the worst I’ve ever experienced.
I’ll start with comments on the actual nails. I should’ve walked out when she was speeding through them. It felt like she was trying to win fastest application. Didn’t even touch my cuticles and applied tips on very unevenly.
When I walked in, I asked if they had time to help me. They said they did but right before it was time to place the paint on she said “Now we wait for it to dry.” Acrylic was already dried. She went to work on another client, we weren’t waiting for it to dry.
After 20 minutes of waiting I put $60 cash on the table and told them I had to go. I felt like if I didnt pay the full thing they would accuse me of theft. They said they would be with me in one minute and tried to talk me out of leaving.
Once I was out the doors, two of them followed me out. They said if I don’t come back now then I should come back later today to get everything finished. While they were talking to me, one of them put their hands on me and was pushing me back into the door. I had to yell at her to get off of me and I hurried away. Before I crossed the crosswalk she caught up to me and gave me $20 back and apologized.
This was the most unprofessional business I have ever been to and I will tell anyone and everyone I know to not waste their time or money here.
If you don’t have time for walk-ins then tell the customer that. I could’ve went else where since I was on a time limit. Also, don’t lie to your customers! Don’t tell me we’re waiting for it to dry when I know that’s not the case.
LASTLY DONT TOUCH AND FORCE CUSTOMERS...
