This is exactly what the name implies: a perfect little 'pocket' of a beach tucked away along the Seattle waterfront. It's a true hidden gem for anyone looking to escape the city bustle for a few quiet moments without having to go far.

The beach itself is made of smooth, grey pebbles that are perfect for skipping stones. The large driftwood logs that wash up make for excellent natural benches to sit and watch the world go by.

What's really special is the view. You get an expansive, peaceful look at Puget Sound, with the constant, quiet parade of ferries and huge cargo ships gliding past in the distance. It’s a simple, beautiful, and very classic Seattle scene.

This isn't a sandy, swimming-and-sunbathing type of beach. Instead, it's an urban escape. It's the perfect spot to read a book, eat a quiet lunch, or just watch the water. It's located right along the Elliott Bay Trail, making it an ideal stopping point during a walk or bike ride. A wonderful,...

This is a nice beach. I went here while visiting Seattle and was satisfied with my experience. This is a small, rocky beach alongside the Elliott Bay trail. I walked around here and admired the beautiful views of Elliott Bay and the distant mountains behind it. The portion of the beach near the trail is made of pebbles, some of which I got in my shoe. After walking around, I left, satisfied with my experience. I gave this beach five stars because it has beautiful views and is a peaceful escape from...

If you’re looking for a peaceful little escape from the city buzz, Pocket Beach is a sweet surprise tucked just north of the Olympic Sculpture Park. I stumbled upon it during a morning walk and honestly—it felt like finding a secret spot only locals know about!

Review is for experience with small children. Someone at the sculpture park recommended checking it out. It is very small, and 100% rock, nothing sand-like. At the time of our visit there were enough branches washed up to create a nice child proof barrier to the water. However there are also large rocks that some children are too tempted to climb (yikes!). So maybe ok for older children who likes to toss rocks in but won't be climbing around.
