Originally I booked a hotel through expedia (Hotel Crocodile)-as my daughter and I were coming to seattle for a concert. When we went to check into Hotel Crocodile the manager asked if my daughter was 21 which I thought strange- but as it turns out the fact that you cannot stay there of youre NOT 21 wasn't visible on Expedia. The manager was kind enough to call a hotel next door- Ace Hotel and found a room! We hauled ourselves across the street and up 2 flights of stairs with our luggage (not ADA accessible) into a unique hotel filled with light, plants and simplistic comfort. And I fell in love. From the outstanding and friendly service at the front desk-- by all employees there, BTW to the cozy bed and comfortable room with a view, we were sure to have an awesome experience. The breakfast nook is in the basement offering quality teas and coffee- and abundant ambiance! There's a great little breakfast with fresh fruit, local pastries from a bakery across the street offered daily - and a light and airy space to sit and enjoy a hot cup of coffee and write in a journal. The hotel is close to practically everything downtown- especially Pike Place- and did i mention the bed??? So comfy. Also- the soap was awesome(I'm weird about the little details)! They thought of everything. So if you don't mind stairs and are down for a comfortable, minimalist and uniquely Seattle experience- I highly recommend this as a place to stay while enjoying the city. I wouldn't think twice about coming back- Ann's am thinking of another great reason to go to Seattle just so my husband and I can stay this time. Thank you Ace hotel for making my daughters 18th birthday trip to Seattle even...

Read morePOSITIVE:We had a really good experience. We stayed here because we had a baseball game at Safeco. You CAN walk to the stadium but a heads up it is a 40 min walk (which is fine for us We didn't care) you just follow 1st street down all the way there! Its next to bars and a little store if you forget anything. There is alot to do on 1st street! I was soo happy the place was where it was at. There were alot of bars and restaurants on 1st and also on a couple streets over. Everyone working there was very nice, there was breakfast in the am which was great saved us money:) they had waffles, bread and muffins, milk, orange juice, eggs, cereal. A bunch of stuff. They have shared bathrooms which comes with a shower , and there is one single bathroom without a shower. In the bathrooms they already had shampoo conditioner and soap! It was very convenient. They also had towels for when you step out of the shower. You just have to bring your towel with you (located in the room) with robes! Check out was 12pm, awesome! NEGATIVE: Only thing would be parking. Each street you had to pay to park except on Sundays I believe. But the places to park were all on the road or their were places to park in certain lots. We paid to park one day starting at 5pm and it was good until 10am. No big deal we just got up at 10am and paid another 8 bucks from 10am to 5pm.. then from 5pm we paid again for the 5pm to 10am.(another 30) so that's the only down fall...
