REVIEW FOR HOTEL Crocodile. The worst experience I’ve had as a seasoned traveller. Do NOT book this “hotel”. You’re paying $200 to be lodged in the actual band room of a bar with 3 + events happening at any one time and music blaring until 3 am. ||||I contacted them when checking in to explain this wasn’t going to work since I had a 10 hour flight early the next morning and paid for a place to SLEEP and REST. Toña had no alternative room or options for us at the hotel since every room has the band performing directly below you and staff partying in the lobby outside your door. ||||At 1:30 am the OWNER of the Crocodile who was clearly on drugs, came into the LOBBY of the hotel - 10 ft from my door - and turned on her own personal speaker playing Janet Jackson, screaming and doing shots with her friends. I had to physically stop them from having her own personal staff party IN MY ‘HOTEL ROOM.’ And they seemed to not care about the guests or even know there were guests paying $200 + to sleep there. ||||I then called the “manager” Toña and had to argue with her that this wasn’t appropriate, ethical or legal and she told me that I knew what I was getting into because the website says there’s a nightclub on site and refused to speak to me. She said we could discuss it in the morning, offered no refund or compensation and told me to go stay book a SECOND hotel room doesn’t the street if it was a problem. We didn’t agree to sleeping inside a nightmare and had brought up multiple times that this WOULD become a problem during sleeping hours. Shame on this place for charging anything more than $50 a night for these dorm rooms. Toña and the owner are real losers. ||||I’ve worked at bar for 20 years and would never charge someone $200 to stay in the band room. We spoke on the phone to 3 staff members before booking and none of them mentioned these issues prior to us paying. Will be contacting my credit card to reverse the charges and Tona + the owner should be...
Read moreMy organization, Seattle Musicians Access to Sustainable Healthcare, did a full hotel buy out at The Hotel Crocodile on November 20, 2022 for the artist and staff that put together a benefit concert down the street at The Moore Theatre. Working with the team at Hotel Crocodile was a dream. They accommodated our guests having different amounts of days in their stays, lots of changes and adjustments, and even let us host a small shindig the night before our booking for our team. They were gracious with folks checking in early and checking out late as well.
It was fantastic to have the whole hotel to ourselves! It made it feel like a giant sleepover. If you are considering a full buy out I highly recommend it. the vibes are so much better than being all spread out across a giant hotel.
My partner and I stayed in room 3, an interior queen. It was so huge. Way bigger than any other room in the area for the price. The bed was extremely comfortable. Our room had art from a local artist and a giant round chaise lounge. The bathroom was really nice and came with good shampoo and conditioner and heated floors. I tried to run all the hot water out but it never ended. Good water pressure with a big overhead shower head and one that comes off the wall. It also had a desk area and fast wifi that came in handy working on the show.
They let us extend our check out and there was fresh hot coffee in the lobby when we finally emerged. Every staff member we interacted with was wondeful. Shout to to the manager Tona for being so great at her job. Another shout out to Shayla who was working when we checked out. I could go on about how great it was but I'd run out of room in this review! We will rebook the hotel for a full buy...
Read moreI stayed here because I wanted to see two concerts at the Crocodile. I have never paid this much per night for a room before (usually I stay at hostels) but it was definitely worth it!||I had a corner room, and it was very comfortable. I liked the bed with curtains around it, that blocked out any light that wasn't blocked by the curtains and blinds on the windows. The bed wasn't too hard or too soft. The water pressure wasn't amazing but it did the job and I had no difficulty with getting the right temperature.||Noise is something a number of people complain about in the comments but I did not find noise from the venue to be a problem, and not just because I was going to the events! The concerts I went to were not the last ones of the night so there were concerts afterwards. While I could certainly hear the music and feel vibrations, it was not so much of a problem that I couldn't sleep (I put on white noise on my phone which I found more helpful than the provided ear plugs). There was an event in the lounge of Hotel Crocodile, which was more annoying as the sounds came through much louder from that, but that finished up by eleven or so.||The location is great! Many things to see are within a reasonable walking distance (e.g. Pike Place Market, The Space Needle) and so are a lot of good restaurants.||Staff were helpful. I was able to check into my room early, store my bags after check out, and arrange tickets to both sold out shows.||As others have mentioned, there is no elevator and a lot of stairs. The only reason I won't stay here again is if I had a lot of luggage. As I was on a weekend trip, this...
