It seems great & it's big & organized & everyone is super friendly & helpful THEN you have one issue & you're stuck. Don't try calling customer service because you're either be on hold forever or you'll get someone who is completely clueless. This has happened to me on a few occasions. However, I didn't look online and see how the public feels about customer service, returns Etc. At this point I think I have lost more money then I have spent there. Go there to look and shop around for what you want. Then if you want an apple go to an Apple Store. If you like Samsung go to Samsung Direct. Any phone carrier, go to your carrier because they don't tell you about loyalty credits that you will lose out on by going to Best Buy. Your phone might be cheaper but you're going to lose the discount from your carrier so it's six of one half a dozen of another. My last and final experience was something I thought they couldn't screw up. I went and bought some digital downloads for the new Call of Duty for my Xbox and everything was fine and before I left the little guy at the register told me I would be getting an email in a few minutes and my code would be there when I got home I could just load the code on to my Xbox. I got the code but the next morning & it was for PS4 and I took a cab to the store only to be told that they don't know how that happened and I had to call corporate. I took a cab home, now we're $20 in on top of my purchase which was 50 dollars, and I called corporate. Corporate then tells me they only deal with online purchases and gave me a reference number. I called the store back and they told me to call customer support. I was on hold 30 minutes when I got to a woman who tried to sell me something to secure my devices and as much as I told her let's move on she was relentless, so I told her a few things she probably didn't want to hear before I hung up. I called back, waited for a non sales lunatic and they told me to call the store. I called the store back and at this point I am just ready to choke them out, one by one, so short story long, I'm going to sell this digital download for PS4 to someone who owns one. And I'm not going to charge them $50 for it, ahhh, I'll probably give it away actually. So I'm aggravated, I am out $70, I went to GameStop and bought the same exact thing for $54 so now we're at a hundred and twenty four dollars and I'm never doing this again. Buyers beware, avoid Best Buy, don't shop there especially with these holidays coming up. If they screw up you lose your money and your patience and sanity. It's not worth it. The last time this happened to me with Best Buy I ordered a smartwatch for a man and I got one for a woman. Which made me have a very late Christmas gift to my better half, that sucked big time and now I'm over it! Thank you for reading this rant, I hope you look online as I should have regarding Best Buy and there criminally shity customer service and customer support and I'm not the only one, seriously there are entire web sites devoted telling you not to go to Best...
Read moreThe Secaucus Store is fairly unprofessional. I'm surprised that I was treated like an idiot, considering I also work in a customer position. I know that when it appears a product is missing something due to a customer taking some parts, you are allowed to refuse it. I also know that if you return a product without it's respective parts, you are only returned the value of the single part you bring. There's my issue. After an hour of my package being delivered incomplete, I arrive to a best buy store to return a refurbished item, knowing full well that I received it with missing parts and that's an issue with the online Best Buy. Hoping to get somewhat decent service to return this purchase entirely, I was irritated that my cashier didn't have the intention of checking my box until I told her that there were missing items. Even then, she didn't bother to check and instead called a manager. Should I have not told her about the items so that I could've got my full money back? Probably. The manager then proceeded to tell me slowly, as though I wouldn't understand, that I need all the items to get a full refund. What do I do when I wasn't sent them in the first place? Call online she says. Great. Why did I bother coming to the store? What happened to the return promise? She shows me the box like that means something to me. She waits for my reply. What do I even say to that? How disrespectful are the employees here? Is it because I look ethnic that I was denied my return? I would hate to play the race card but here it is. Full frontal. I hope Best Buy can contact these stores that make small issues into bigger ones. There's no point of me writing this if issues like these aren't addressed. If online can take my order back then I don't understand why the store cannot either, especially considering that the first solution that my call representative said was to go to a store. What's the truth when they both tell me different stories? When I asked why they wouldn't accept my return, the representative tells me that the store representative probably thought I took the items. Amazing. I'm sending back the item, getting my full return, and I'm crossing off Best Buy from my 'Shop At These...
Read moreHonestly not the best experience today. Would give it a 1 star or zero if I could. As the consultant (Jose) was professional & courteous, I’ll give it 2 stars. What happened: my computer does not connect to wifi. It made a loud noise & was sent in for service (3 weeks to get it back) and received on 9/17. It is October 5th and I could not connect my computer to my wifi at home. The day prior everything worked perfectly. It is frustrating from one day to the next - I should not be experiencing this as it was repaired so to say. Not acceptable.
Jose attempted to connect to the store wifi five times… 4 out of 5 did not work. The 5th attempt did. Jose spoke with Edgar about my laptop was informed of a “re do job” which I was not happy about but okay to drop off and send back to repair. After they ran some tests manually through its hardware diagnostics and & usb Ethernet plug (as I was using it for my Internet source) - everything passed with flying colors.
That is great! Still not happy with 4 out of 5 attempts not working - send it to repair. Edgar (Repair Agent) informed Jose that they couldn’t accept it because everything passed. Jose stated my wifi at home could have dropped. I jokingly said - ok have someone come to house to check it while I in front of him showed him my Ring spot lights working perfectly that are connected to my wifi. Connections are strong in & out of the house. He said I would have to pay for them to come out and check it. The issue is this computer.
FYI - I have my work laptop, my Ring security system, tablets, and other devices on my wifi at home with no issues. Also have wifi extenders and access points with my Internet plan on 1gb download/upload speeds —— it certainly isn’t my network at home, it’s this computer.
I have called Geek Squad corporate and filed a complaint. No reason why my computer can’t be serviced and or replaced. I have the most expensive protection plan to have peace of mind #worryFree issues on my purchase.
Resolution: nothing. Waiting to hear back. At the moment, I have completely the opposite. No peace of mind, I have a headache & a...
