Where do I begin. I went to return an online order within the 40 day return window in store all clothing eligible for in store return. First thing associate questioned a price tag on an item of 99$ clear on the receipt and my email receipt with proof of picture it was the same item. She said I don’t know what this designer is. Then she called another associate or what might have been a manager over because she did not know how to do an online in store return. Then they begin to tell me I’m over the 30 day return policy. I said I have 40 days per your Tj Maxx corporate website and I’m within that timeframe. I went to show associate/manager and said please educate me where I’m going wrong as I see what the policy states that I have 40 days. She would not look at my phone and says I don’t know the policy I don’t shop online. What???? This is your job to know policy and why does it matter if YOU shop online or not. Then they said I need all the bags for the items they came in. I said I have an email receipt with barcode for returns and btw price tags on all item's. She said well this is easier for us your online receipt isn’t helpful. They said as a courtesy they would allow me to return to original form of payment they were only going to give me store credit. I wish I got the names but I was so baffled I did not. I will never return to this store they were both condescending and even though I don’t look physically disabled I am and I even told them I shop online because I cant shop in stores I have to try clothes at home so I make sure to know all the return policy rules to the stores I shop at online. My husband was helping me return the items but when he saw the mess of a return he couldn’t handle it and had to walk away. Sounds like a training meeting is needed for online purchase in store returns. I was so embarrassed and made to look like a fool I’m not sure I could...
Read moreI don't usually do this, but it is my hope to help out another mama! I promised myself that I would never go to this store again. It took me a while to overcome this experience. After my daughter was born, I went to buy clothes for an event. I went to the fitting rooms to try on the clothes. The sales associate (An older woman of asian decent..I wish I got their name to report them!) stopped me and started interrogating me about trying on the clothes. She said that I had too many items and was not able to take my newborn/stroller into the fitting room. This is something that I have never heard before! I then asked her what I was supposed to do with my stroller/newborn as I try on the clothes and she did not seem to be understanding. Mind you, my $1,200 stroller cost more than the $50 of clothes I wanted to try on! Anyways, she came over to my stroller and started touching my baby's blanket asking what it was and tried to take out the cover over my baby to "inspect" my stroller. I was in complete shock that I froze. I became super upset and ended up leaving the store. I wish I was emotionally able to talk with a manager or confront this sales associate, but I was not mentally able to do so. Instead I promised myself to never go back to this location as I can't believe the treatment that I received. I was just a new mom trying to get some new clothes for my new body. There were witnesses around me and I ended up feeling so embarrassed and ashamed! I wish that no mother ever has to feel this way when shopping. I've lived here for years and it's a shame that I had this experience and am no longer able to shop here. I wish they hired more respectful individuals who know that it is important to not try to touch other people's belongings/children and...
Read moreThere is a great selection of baby home food, beauty, clothes, and shoes here. I definitely wanted to buy a lot more than my bank account would allow lol I will say that I rated this location a 3 due to the really weird customer service experience I encountered. It may not be the same for everyone, but it was embarrassing essentially with a two year-old that is going to cry or make a tantrum my daughter did very well in the scenario, but for some reason, the cash register lady was, not able to print us a receipt I ended up having to wait about 10 minutes in the middle of the line area. People were confused. People were asking if we were in line people were talking to my daughter, which was nice but also confusing for her. She wanted to open her toys so I had no choice but to sit there there were people staring, luckily the manager was able to print us a receipt from the printer, but the cash register lady was pretty unprofessional about it. She asked me if the transaction even went through and what I pressed though it were my fault I asked her if she had receipt paper. Please don't blame it on my ability to actually swipe my card through. Also, just casual conversation she was very combative about the location where I bought my other purse from for some reason no idea that was just strange. The whole scenario...
