Just noticed several people complaining harshly about the assigned seating. I love the assigned seating and haven't experienced any issue with it. In fact I really like that I can reserve a good seat early, then take my time getting to the theater knowing I won't have to settle for bad seats after I've already paid. No place with assigned seating that I've seen has had very good scale of their seating diagram so I don't have much for expectations there. I moved to more preferred open seats my first time there and have just known which ones to reserve ever since. Anyway......
The Good: Bravo for having nothing but good stadiums! I purposely avoid most other theaters because you never know when they are going to stick you in one of their more pitiful stadiums with tiny screens and anemic sound. But every one of the stadiums here provides a great experience with large bright screens and ample sound. The stadium seating arrangement is also exceptional. I'm not one to sit toward the back of a stadium and I love that you can sit 1/3 to half way back without having to crane your neck to look up. This is especially true in their 2 premium stadiums (which are a bargain at only a couple extra bucks!) and this gives it more of an Imax feel than Knoxville's fake Imax theater. The seats are very comfortable and much wider than most other places so you don't feel so cramped. Also the movies start with minimal previews. I get annoyed at other theaters arriving early enough to get a decent seat, then watching through 10 minutes of commercials, then 20 minutes of previews before getting to the main feature. Not the case here, I suggest being on time! I wish this place was closer to me. I regularly drive all the way from East Knoxville to enjoy a movie here even though all of Knoxville's theaters are closer.
The Bad: They rarely show 3d movies which is extremely disappointing because their stadiums seem perfect for it (bright projectors and higher viewing areas). Their maintenance and customer service is very questionable. They once had horribly messed up sound in one of their premier theaters for over 2 months (it's back to sounding great now). But that ruined at least 2 much anticipated movies for me and nothing was done for me when I complained. That's bad for business. The lobby and general color scheme are almost an eye sore. Nothing fancy and odd color combinations but you know what, I don't care. I don't go to the movies to admire a fancy lobby.
Summary: When everything is working as it should, they give an exceptional movie...
Read moreWe went to see stitch in 3D at 2:40 on 05/30/25, but after 3 different families complained between 2:50-3:15 the movie wasn’t even started in the correct format until 3:45. After having sat for over an hour with multiple complaints that the manager on duty seemed to be laughing about, the movie finally started but was in standard not 3D so more complaints had to be made for it to be started correctly. This is simply unacceptable. Not the fact that the movie was even that late, but the fact the manager was so unprofessional to multiple people. He laughed and said he’d send someone up to check multiple times before anyone actually was sent to the projection room and had to have more complaints for the lights to be turned off, then the correct format we all had paid for to be turned on, but there was not one apology or any bit of accountability for the issues. I myself spent over $50 in tickets and concessions this visit alone, and we usually visit a few times a month, but I cannot say I will give this place anymore of my business after this experience if no one can take accountability or offer any simply solution to fix this issue. This was very disappointing as we loved our local theatre but cannot say the employees are any bit pleasant or even helpful. Even the 2 girls running the registers at 2:30 when we arrived were rude and seemed clueless at or like they didn’t want to be there. But I will say the janitor of the auditorium was...
Read moreThe woman at the front was being terribly rude, not just on this occasion but another as well she asked me and my mother to step out of the way of others while we were getting our tickets when we weren’t even in their way, and she also spoke to me as if I was incompetent and that is something I don’t not take kindly to she also failed to let us know ahead of me using my groupon that every single theaters AC was out and it was hotter in the building than it was outside in the dead of summer, she is not meant for customer services if she will treat people like this, every encounter I’ve had with her was negative, she the (Caucasian woman with glasses and short curly hair, that acts like she just did a line before work) decided to have a power trip and tell the very nice red headed young lady that was helping me and my friend on a different occasion, telling her to tell me “she has to finish her drink or she can go in the theater” as if I wasn’t going to be done with a small drink I was already halfway done with by the time I even walked in with from the parking lot, I am a local and I come and spend my hard earned money here quite often, I don’t appreciate being treated this way by this woman specifically when everyone else is always very sweet, as am I in return this needs to be fixed asap, or I along with everyone I know that brings tourist dollars, will not be returning or sending...
