Attended a large event today at the Sharonville convention center for the first time and left with quite the unpleasant experience. First off, they are not at all built to handle a full house. I can only imagine if they had all the rooms being utilized at the same time because there was not enough parking, the setup for lunch was cramped and disorderly, it was way too hot at the start until I told them they needed to turn up the AC, and trying to get in and out of the ballroom during breaks was a fight to the end of the funnel of people all trying to go down one hallway. On top of the food lines being cramped in a corner they had no ability to keep up with empty food trays on the buffets, and the whole time I was in line I had both staff members and attendees running into me trying to get by. The staff there was extremely rude, I somehow managed to get yelled at by two different staff members about two different things in a time frame of just a few minutes because they were seemingly so overwhelmed by the number of people. I hope I don’t have to go to the Sharonville convention center again in the...
Read moreIt is difficult to rate a convention center as there for events, but I'm going to look beyond the events in this rating. The place is really clean. My only issues with the convention center have to do with the beverages/drinking options. The water fountain is very low pressure so you practically have to put your lips on the bubbler to get any water. This is unsanitary and not preferred obviously. It would be better if they had the water fountain that had the ability to fill reusable water bottles. My second issue with their drinking options is the vending machine on the bottom level is usually filled with expired pop. This is not good because you go to buy it and it is flat. I prefer the bottles of pop because you can screw the lid back on. This brings me to my third issue. The convention center run places have cans of pop as the main drink choice instead of bottles. This is just asking for someone to drop it and spill it. It would be better to have bottles so they can have the lid put back on them and also go flat...
Read moreWe went for a dinner event with live music. The atmosphere was incredible the food was fantastic - we both ordered hamburger that was the most delicious hamburger in the world😋- music was nice. the only downside was serving which was super super slow. We had a very nice manner waitress but she was forgetting things constantly. I didn't mind to repeat my request but finding her or other Waiters was a little bit hard. It was a table next to us that manager was checking on them constantly but he never asked anybody else around them if they need anything. I believe those were his special guests for the manager that is understandabke but it would have been nicer if he paid a little more attention to other guests as well. Other than that everything else was fabulous and we enjoyed our time. We were so patient and didn't let anything goes under our skin. We appreciate them to have the event. And will probably attend for the next week event as well. The hamburger deserves...
