here are the reasons why I'm giving Vineyard the credit it deserves.
The place is truly a place for God to thrive. Everyone whom you come in contact will welcome you with a handshake or open arms. A wide variety of individuals. Pastor Rob's message is encouraging and he always has a way to encourage others through even the toughest of times. Super guy and easy to relate to. Not judgmental at all.
There are NUMEROUS opportunities to serve and volunteer all within your fingertips and you will be taught ways in which you can use your gifts God has given you to the fullest potential
I've been to several churches and they have their up points, but I often get tired of hearing Christian "cliches". Vineyard is fantastic about placing things in laymen's terms to even where a non-Christian would be interested in attending.
There is a wonderful balance. This church while it may not be the most laid back and easygoing of churches, there is a counterbalance. They find a way to challenge your faith in Jesus to where you WANT to grow more in your walk with Jesus and they do a great job of pushing you to your spiritual growth without condemnation. The prayer formula they have out in the foyer is a BONUS point by my watch. Literally teaches you how to pray in a sequence if you don't already have your own prayer rhythm or language.
Worship is up to par, engaging, and always spirit filled.
God singlehandedly blessed Vineyard with Dina Peffer! Seriously, this lady is one of the best things that has ever happened to Vineyard! She is a legit woman of God. Right now I am currently training to be on the prayer weekend team and she has a way with people. Her and people like her make wonderful mentors and trainers who will lead you in the right spiritual direction but not spoon feed you things. You have to work a little bit to get things downpacked but it's not hard to serve in Vineyard if you try. She also has a way of paraphrasing things where even anyone of any religious background or lack thereof are comfortable in a "safe environment" as she calls it. God bless you Dina!! (I'm sorry all, but she deserved a shout out! )
The one and ONLY (good) flaw I see at Vineyard is MORE SEATS ARE NEEDED!!!! Sanctuary seat vacancies go faster than items sold in an auction. Get to Vineyard at least half an hour prior to the respective service you want to attend if you want a good seat.
Overall, I've been going here for months since November and it seems to me that the only thing that would make me change churches is if my company made me relocate out of town. Well worth the 20...
Read moreHighly encourage you to avoid this âchurchâ at all costs. They believe in and practice conversion therapy (see attached photo) which is illegal in most states, including Ohio. They are able to get away with this because they are not licensed medical professionals and call it something different. This practice has caused thousands of children to be harmed and unalive themselves because this church is saying who they love is wrong.
I also overheard at dinner a group of their âleaders speaking with a guest speaker who was profoundly arrogant and rude. She said she wasnât introducing herself and to Google her if you didnât know her.
When I brought this up to the âleadersâ and invited them for a conversation at my church, they blocked me, then started messaging from their personal accounts. This is an example of how they lurk in the shadows and prey on innocent people.
Response:
Your response is both misleading and dismissive. The original description of your âMenâs Healthy Sexuality Groupâ explicitly included the term âsexual identity recovery,â which is widely associated with conversion therapy. Changing it only after being called out shows you were either careless in your messaging or deliberately misrepresenting the groupâs intent.
As for your claim that I âconfusedâ Vineyard Cincinnati with another churchâthis is blatantly untrue. I know exactly which church this involves, as it stems directly from my interactions with your leaders. Gaslighting me instead of addressing valid concerns only further erodes trust.
If your church truly values transparency and community, prove it. Can we see who you have blocked on Instagram? Can we see the past agendas for these meetings? Can we see the qualifications of who is teaching these programs?
Share the materials and structure of this group publicly and engage in honest dialogue instead of hiding behind reactive Google review edits and deflections. Until then, your actions suggest more harm than healing.
I also have repeatedly asked for a meeting at your church and was denied, yet you say to check out your church. I already attend a church that is recognized by the Pope and does not operate independently with no oversight...
Read more@Mark Cambell I haven't been back to a church since. I too, emailed and asked "why".. there was zero transparency . The person who called me was polite, and nice, but the reasons, and the answers were just white wash. I still, to this da, have no idea why this happened. I loved going to The Vineyard when Pastor Rob was there. It was his(Rob) transparency that drew me in from the first time I visited there with one of my sons and his family! We all really loved attending that church. We all said the same exact thing! Rob just shared his life's experiences and his relationship with Jesus Christ, and that is a great way to share the gospel, in my opinion. Its was this church, and Rob , who actually motivated me to read my Bible from front to back, for the first time in my life and I am 54 now! Rob would always talk about reading three versus , or chapters, or something like that, each day, and you will have read the Bible through in a year! I used the old excuse ..." I just don't understand the Bible, I'm not a good reader...bla, bla, bla..." One day during the usual reminder of , read your Bible, Rob says, " it doesn't matter if you understand what you are reading, GOD understands YOU!" Read it, HE will help you to understand ! It was as if Rob had called me out in front of the whole church, yet, I personally never spoke to Rob face to face, other than passing him and his family up in the hallway one morning. When the pandemic hit, and the very next week I got the email that Rob was no longer going to be with our church, I didn't have a church anymore. And after seeing how so many churches reacted to this whole mess, I still haven't been back to a church. Man has really disappointed me in ways that have never happened to me before, and that seems to be the ongoing theme to this day. The veils are being pulled back on almost a daily bases... I have been reminded in some very big ways, this world is...
