I went to this location this morning around 8:15am. I ordered online to pickup in the drive thru to make sure I gave the staff enough time to get it right. I pull up the the speaker in the drive thru and an older lady repeated my order back “you gotta a hash brown and an iced vanilla whatever”. I got an iced vanilla latte with almond milk. It’s literally on the menu, didn’t even have to customize this. I said yes and she chuckled as if to be mocking my order. It’s a coffee place. How are you going to make me feel weird about ordering something listed ON the menu. I pulled up to the window and sat there for a minute. I looked away because clearly they were still getting it ready and before I even knew she was coming back her hand was in my car with my hash brown. Did the same once my coffee was ready. She was acting as if I was a bother to be existing. There was no line at the drive thru and the parking lot was quite empty. There were four employees all right by the window that I could see, so clearly it wasn’t slammed back there. The drink is a different story… it tasted like nail polish remover. I ordered ahead so I could give them enough time to not have to rush to make it and it was still RANCID. I’ve never had a drink taste so bad. Maybe it was the older lady that made it, considering that if she wasn’t capable of reading directly off the screen what my drink was called, maybe she couldn’t read the directions on how to make the drink either.
I have been to this location on several other occasions and I have never had a pleasant experience there. The time before a different older lady was helping me and I gave her a gift card I had for a while. I explained that I wasn’t sure how much was left on the gift card and yet when they swiped it and there was only a couple of dollars on it, they told me “I need actual money before I can just give you your order”. For context, there was no conversation between me handing her the card and her telling me that. Like… no dip. I just said I wasn’t sure how much was on there and I didn’t ask for my food first. I’m not a moron.
For a coffee place, I think every single employee hates people who drink coffee. Or just hates people who show up at all. If you think you’re going to give this place a shot despite reading all this, perhaps don’t. They don’t want you to come there...
Read moreMy review is for the lady I believe is the manager at this location(black hair and always at drive thru). She is incredibly rude to customers and her employees. I used to come here frequently and now only stop here if I'm in a hurry otherwise I go out of way to the 23 and van Dyke location. When you're ordering this lady cuts you off,Rushes you and talks over you. She's rude at the drive thru, never smiles and basically throws the food at you. I've seen her yelling at her employees in drive thru too. Today while ordering at the drive thru she kept cutting me off as I was trying to order my food, then I asked to purchase 3 gift cards with my food order and she told me I would have to come inside or she would only do 1 through the drive thru. Seriously? You're going to inconvenience a customer over 2 extra gift cards? I should've canceled my food order then but I was in shock. There wasn't one car behind me. I left there and drove down to 23 and Van Dyke Tim Hortons. What a difference! Friendly employees and I was able to get my 3 gift cards in the drive thru, no problem and there was a line in drive thru. I can see having a gift card limit of 5 or even 3 gift cards in drive thru but 1? And even so not making an exception and nicely stating for future we can't do that. But the manager at 21 and Van Dyke didn't do that, just rude, no apology and dirty looks at the drive thru window. The only positive on this location is a lady with short hair and glasses who works the drive thru. She is always pleasant. Sadly, I won't be returning here as this isn't my first bad experience. Every experience with the manager has been bad and it takes a lot for me to write a bad review. Highly recommend driving 2 miles north and going to 23 and Van dyke. You're food will actually be hot and you'll get...
Read moreUpdate: owner had them redo my order, but i wanted to wait until after an additional visit since I was asked to change my review after having order fixed. I stand behind my review and went there one more time to order their advertised in their lobby $6 halloween bucket refill and again they informed me it's not $6 even though they are advertising that. I went to the hall road tim hortons this morning and was delighted when my $6 refill bucket was $6!! I think it's time for me to go to one of the other tim hortons. I bought a halloween timbits bucket last week for the full price and even more so because they are offering $6 refills (advertised by a poster in the drive through!!). I went to get a refill for my kids due to them having a good week at school and the lady kept telling me no it's still 10.99 unless you have an empty bucket and I said I already have one I bought one. I need the refill, she told me it's still 10.99. She knew what I was saying because she gave me the refill in a tim hortons bag. I also ordered a sandwich drink and donut and noticed I was being charged individually so I pointed it out and told her no I'd like it in a meal. She said the computer automatically does it. I relied so if it doesn't I have to pay individually even though I'd like the meal? She said yes. Once I got home I went to go eat my cheese panini....these used the heel of the bread for one side, it was cold and none of the cheese was melted (I made sure to take a photo). I called another tim hortons to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding their promotions and they told me I can bring my empty halloween timbits bucket and it's for sure $6. Besides being overcharged the lady taking orders through drive thru was rude and seemed to lack...
