I’ve lived here (as a condo owner) for about 6 years now and cannot, in good conscience, recommend it to anyone. Most of the units are rented out as apartments, and it shows by most people’s lack of respect for the area. The units are a little older and shoddily put together, but I’ve been able to slowly work on mine and fix the issues that come with cheap construction (missing chunks of subfloor, warped drywall, et cetera). At first glance the condo fee seems a little steep (mine’s almost $400/month) however, it includes, gas, hot water, and ONE parking space. If you want a second parking space it’s $400/year! This explains why you can see 10-20 cars parked across the street at Shaw’s every night; it’s insane that you get charged that much for an extra car. Also, guests can only visit a few times a month before their cars get ticketed. I was dating someone when I first moved in and they would stay over a few nights per week, and it led to endless battling with the office and security guards. The office doesn’t have much use as the Green is managed by a large corporation, and dealing with them is painful as they are rude, contradict each other, and never seem to be open. The office hours are crazy (possibly 9-3). Because most of the owners just rent out their units, there is very little representation on the condo board, leaving the few owners onsite pretty powerless. The office is very strict, they’ll fine you for just about anything you could think of, but if you ever try to enlist the office’s help you’ll be turned away. For example, my ceiling was caving in because the tenants above me had plumbing issues, yet the office refused to help me work with the unit owner to fix the problem, they “don’t get involved in tenant disputes”. When the ceiling collapsed, I was fined by the office for not having curtains in my windows. A fine they refused to wave. As a tenant, this place probably isn’t that bad, but as an owner, you don’t want...
Read moreIf I could give a 0 review I would, my parents lived here for close to two years. It was the most horrible experience. My parents are coming to an age where they need help and facilities that would be responsible and responsive . I helped them navigate the communication with their property manager and HOA office . Each week they had a new problem due to the lack of care for this properties . They work with a company named GMI as the middle agent which are also awful . When my parents moved in they were told many thing in the Aparment would be fixed and they never were . As mention every week some new problem always arise , it was either something work or my parents needed to pay a fee to get something fixed . Lastly my parents decided to leave as soon as the lease ended giving that there was pest infestation in the apartment . There was roaches coming out of everywhere and maintenance would only give us sticky paper to remedy the issue . It wasn’t until my mother had to call the town of Shrewsbury that they decided to take this matter serious . Even then they were neglectful to keep up with pest control . As originally mentioned many things needed to get fixed with the apartment and the property manager would just disregard their work orders or would never fix them right . Now that they have moved out they are trying to keep part of their deposit to fix issues that the apartment had before they move in . Don’t. Trust this apartments especially if they are ran by a property manager company called GMI. The HOA has poor communication with the owner of these condos and vice versa so they are never on the same page when taking care of their residents.

Read moreI could not recommend in good conscience living at this facility under the current management (The Dartmouth Group locally managed by B. St. George), and if you rent it is even worse.
It is reassuring to see that I am not the only one who has had an issue with "Management" at Shrewsbury Green. The staff has absolutely no tools or procedures for managing conflict or condominium violations. As near as I can tell (while it is not stated anywhere) their official means of communication is via letters mailed to unit owners; unit owners are then asked to filter that down to the residents living in their units. If you have an issue as a resident there is no chance that the onsite management will offer any real help in resolving it; that is if you are lucky enough to actually speak to management about your issue.
To be fair, I don't think the people working there are bad people. I do think that they have not been trained properly in condominium management and their manager seems very disconnected from the personal experiences and well being of the people who actually live there. As a suggestion, I would recommend they first review and update their rules and regulations document (from 2010) and start communicating consistently with the people who are unfortunate enough to call their facility home. The best way to avoid dealing with the poor management at this facility is to steer clear of the Green...
