I worked for various World Market stores for six years in the Columbus area building desplays and resetting stores. When I moved to Florida over nine years ago there was one about an hour or so away so I never went to visit. So a few months ago World Market opens a brand new location in Sarasota.
The store is a tad larger than most of the ones I've been to. The setup is very similar but much more open (still putting the chairs on the top shelf around the perimeter of the store). I do like the open configuration of the food and wine area but the aisles are pretty tight.
I visited the store with my mother, she's handicapped so she needs a wheelchair. The store is pretty tight but not to unfriendly to people in wheelchairs.
The selection of snacks has gotten better.
