Mosaic Arts & Events — Attraction in Sioux Falls Township

This place is kinda small, but that's really its only drawback (some of the paintings are also a little...post-representational for my tastes, but I still enjoyed looking at them). Its a beautiful building, surrounded by a beautiful garden, in which there are an array of displays on various interesting topics, as well as numerous paintings for sale, and permanent artistic displays. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, and they permitted me to wander throughout the facilities (including some rear areas that I wasn't entirely certain were ordinarily open to the public), despite the fact that the place was all set up for a wedding reception (presumably taking place right about now).

Its a very eclectic and downright cool place, with all sort of objects d'art & assorted knick-knacks either for sale, or just on display, atop shelves & shelves & shelves of books on all manner of artistic, scientific & cultural topics (I was especially pleased to come across a copy of Roy A. Gallant's "National Geographic Picture Atlas of Our Universe," which my grandfather gave me for Christmas way back in 1980, and which I hadn't seen for a good many years).

Like I said, the place is small, so don't plan on making a day of it, but its definitely more than worth checking out. Its nice that there's no admission fee, but despite being unemployed, I still threw a dollar in their donation box...so if you have a full-time job, please see if you can't do just a little...

We booked our 5/7/22 wedding at the Sioux Falls Museum of Visual Materials and WOW. This place is absolutely stunning. It fit perfectly the vision we had for our wedding+ceremony, and we could not have picked a better venue. Taryn and Ben were so extremely professional and helped make the wedding go off without a hitch. Ben was so quick to respond to my emails ahead of the wedding, and was so assuring and helpful with any questions or concerns I brought his way. The planning process could not have been easier and we felt like we had complete control of our wedding vision. The venue created a custom layout for our big day, provided everything we needed, from linens to chairs and tables and everything was spectacular! We brought some out-of-the box ideas and they were absolutely happy to accommodate and make everything come to fruition just as we envisioned it. I'd have my wedding here 1,000 times over if I could! The compliments from guests and family members were non-stop about how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the overall experience was. I can not recommend this...

First, let me just begin with saying the Museum is one of the most stunning venues I’ve ever been in. It is gorgeous with even very minimal decoration, and is an absolute steal for the price. Second, the entire staff was incredibly helpful and supportive. Kaitlyn was amazing through the entire process before the day, and then Terrie, the staff member who was there the day of was AMAZING. She was so helpful and did a great job of giving direction and making sure everything went smoothly. We did both our ceremony and reception at the Museum, and even though only about 1/3 of our guests were able to make it (due to the massive blizzard) the Museum was still the perfect...
