Had the unfortunate experience of having our movie stop halfway through the showing in one of the downstairs theaters. After waiting a few minutes, someone finally got up to leave, assuming they told theater staff who then started working on restarting the movie for us. Felt like 10 minutes went by while they figured out how to fast forward back to where we were watching. Another 20-30 minutes later, it froze…. again. This time they were quicker to restart us back to where we were with the help of the audience yelling forward until we reached the scene we were in the middle of. We did however miss a few minutes of the movie because it was restarted just past where we left off. Never had something like this happen at a theater, so I certainly hope they looked into what caused the problem, because it completely took me out of the experience of going to a movie theater to watch a film from start to end without distractions. I also noticed that up until the first stoppage, the screen seemed way darker than it should have. Dark scenes were barely visible, and even bright ones you could tell the white spots were dim. This seemed to be fixed after the restarting of the movie, so not sure what was going on there. I was surprised when theater staff didn’t offer any apologies/refunds/discounts after the debacle. I planned to ask for a refund myself, but after finishing the movie and walking out, didn’t feel like the $5 ticket was worth the time chatting with someone about it and just...
Read moreI came in to watch a movie and the lady who was selling the tickets was doing such a great job to ensure that younger children were accompanied by an adult in order to see a movie which was rated "adult supervision required." There was an adult with her children looking to buy tickets and being completely indignant to the worker as she was hoping to just leave her children while she left. The employee stood her ground while remaining professional. Her attitude towards a woman and her tween children was something that I only wish that I had. She stayed completely cool and collected under the abuse of a parent who simply seemed like she wanted a babysitter. I am not sure what the girl's name was, but she handled it like a champ. I am super happy that this young lady not only was looking out for the well being of children, but kept her cool while dealing with someone who was obviously looking for an altercation. I will, for sure, be back. Knowing that the rules and support for children, warmed my heart. My sincerest apologies on behalf of parents who behave that way. This theater is a local gem and I will...
Read moreGot there with my husband with ample time to spare to get tickets, food and our seats. There was a line out the door and only 2 people working tickets and concession. When it was finally my turn the employee just walked away and came by 5 minutes later to help me. Then it took another 10 minutes to get our food, which was not exactly what we ordered, we were already 10 minutes late getting into the movie, making it 25 minutes waiting for tickets and food from the moment I got up to te register. However they did manage to bring a third employee out to help with sales when there were only 2 people left in the very long line. (And a side not there was spilt nacho cheese all over the floor where they prep everything along with popcorn too. Certainly not appealing to see.). Also the employees were VERY rude!
I WILL NOT GO BACK TO THAT THEATRE. The Moore theatres in Coloma and Niles are the ones that I have always gone to and this was a huge disappointment to the Moore...
