Seven Sparrows Tattoo — Attraction in South Padre Island

In true vacation fashion, four of us decided on a whim to go get tattoos. Found THE BEST tattoo studio ever and a few hrs later we were all lined up and ready to go. Phil and James were amazing and so quick. Phil did mine and my husband's, and I swear he has the lightest, quickest hand and the lines were impeccable. He was done before I really even noticed he got started. Before we even left the shop we were planning our next visit and asking if he ever traveled for guest spots. Our friends got James and they had nothing but nice things to say! Side note, both guys were super entertaining to chat with and we had a great time just hanging out. Super clean shop - I'd honestly love for them to come decorate my house, it was so cool. Everyone was incredibly nice and didn't leave you with the feeling that you were bothering them and they just wanted your $ and you out the door like we've experienced in other shops. For the record, our group has well over 100 tattoos collectively so we aren't noobs...

Went in while on vacation looking for traditional Ed Hardy tattoo. Raul took the job but I didn’t agree with total price for the full color version so agreed for just outline and shade, then come back to get colored in. Well communication was made with Raul that I would be back on July 8 th, to finish, only to arrive and find out he was out fishing. I was disappointed with this but wanted to get color so I let James finish the tattoo. Needless to say I was even more impressed with James and the end result! I am a man of my word and I choose to spend hundreds on ink work and I expect the artist to stand by his word and finish the tattoo. I’m not happy with having a Raul/James -Ed Hardy tattoo but am definitely more impressed with James professionalism. Not sure if I’ll be back to get more work, might take awhile to get the salt water...

Amazing shop! Wife and I both got work done and we couldn’t be happier. We had a family emergency a few days before our appointment and they worked with us to reschedule and make it happen. Good music, excellent artists, and a chill vibe. My wife had her tattoo done by the visiting artist Elmo (black and white, sugar skull alien head) and mine was done by resident artist Jake (full color, American Traditional snake). While I was laying there for 3 hours I can’t even tell you how many walk-in bangers the owner Raul knocked out. They’re all super friendly (including the lady, I’m sorry I forgot your name, who runs their phones and appointment books), do great work, and if we’re ever on The Island again we will absolutely go back.
