Good location for overlooking part of the bay and bridge.. but that's not why you come here, typically. It's supposed to be for the food and experience. Service was very sub-par and disappointing considering the positive reviews that initially brought us here.
Waiter didn't acknowledge us for the entire time we were here.. almost an hour waiting for our food. It's lunch time, and they're only filled to about 1/3 of their occupancy. There's nothing wrong with running behind, but at least acknowledge that your customers exist. Something like, "Hey, I see you've been sitting here for almost an hour and I haven't brought you anything. Let me get you water refills.." would have been nice to hear. But even the guy at the bar (where you must order your food) by the name of Tom said, "what do you guys want?"
Considering the slightly above-average price of food (which I still haven't tasted because I'm still waiting for), and the nearly non-existent service, I won't be returning.
Edit: Food arrived, it was pretty decent. The side of fries is enough for two or three people, the fish tacos were small but very flavorful, and the teriyaki wings were better than Buffalo Wild...
Read moreStopped in to Laguna Bob's for dinner at 7pm. We could hear live music from the street. And we love live music. Wife and son ordered burgers that they both enjoyed. I ordered the peel and eat shrimp. It is nothing more than shrimp cocktail on a platter. The menu describes it as seasoned, but not sure about that. After we ordered a employee approach our 20yr old son drinking his Coke and checked his ID. No problem as the sign reads We Card Everyone. Then the employee proceeds to mark both hands with an X in permanent marker. Big enough to signal incoming helicopters safe landing. We watched as all X applications are corresponding to hand size. Maybe get that employee a magic erase board to practice his street graffiti on. Not paying customers before the 9pm bar...
Read moreThis bar and grill restaurant is on the bay side. It is a popular spot for those wanting to catch the sunset view. You’ll have to arrive early enough to claim your spot, it does get busy. The entire restaurant is outdoors with some sections offering a covered roof. They often have live music. They will ask you to show your ID. They don’t serve beer on draft. They specialize in cocktail drinks served in a plastic souvenir cup. Their cocktail drinks are not my favorite, but the beach vibes and the sunset make up. They do serve the typical bar food. It’s not the best. At times, it gets too busy for the servers to handle. I’d like to see more staff when the crowd is high. Our server was very overwhelmed trying to serve multiple large groups at...
