Ocean Vista Towers Real Estate and Rentals — Hotel in South Padre Island

I do not want to give them even a single star. There was no water for an entire day during our stay which made our trip experience worse. We could not use restrooms. I called the front desk ( Padre Island Rentals) for resolution and he said some guy named Matthew handles this and he is currently not at the office but will give me a call back as soon as he returns but I never got a call from them for resolution or even to check if we were doing okay. Above that the website said that the Master Bedroom has a view to the beach but the shutters on sliding door never opened. I called the front desk but they kept postponing saying the guy who repairs is not available today and will come the next day. But he never came to fix it so we could not enjoy the beach view from master bed (Ocean Vista, Unit 902). I in-fact want them to refund me the money for the day when water was not available.

Unit 903 Well located in a walkable area with restaurants and shopping nearby.

The high floor offers an excellent ocean view from the living room and master bedroom. The balcony is clean and has nice seating.

It worked well for our family of 3. The beds are overly soft and the pillows low quality.

Would stay again if maintenance issues addressed.

The dehumidifier was a surprise and definitely not in any photos. The place smelled very damp upon arriving and despite the host saying we could turn it off because it was very noisy I was loathe to do so given the damp smell came back whenever it wasn’t running. It could be placed in a more thoughtful location.

There were other maintenance issues such as slow running sinks, noisy toilets, low water pressure in the second bathroom.

The living room furniture is worn to end of life and sorely needs replacing with rips, stains and loss of seating support.

I would have preferred enough dishwasher soap and garbage bags for the stay instead of...

We stayed at ocean Vista from July 01-16 2019, room 105!!!The room was decorated beautifully,the location on the first floor perfect. My two big complaints were the fridge kept leaking water,I kept cleaning it up mind you we stayed 16 days,so that was alot of cleaning! The other complaint the ice maker did not work! And my final and greatest upset were the beds! We felt like we were sleeping on plastic hard plastic!very uncomfortable! We spent over 5300 dollars the owner asked us for 540 dollars more about 2 weeks before our trip! Something about local taxes that HomeAway did not charge us?! We paid it of course because when we began looking for something else everything was booked! Our kids were looking forward to the trip and so what were we supposed to do!
