I wish I can give a zero star to this store.
I placed an order for 'Clear Glass Lazy Susan' and 'Cheval Mirror' at Raymour & Flanigan, South Plainfield on 11th of January, 2020. I was told that the order will be available for pick up on 14th Jan, 2020. I received a call on 14th Jan, and was told that the order was ready for pick up. I informed them that I would be coming on Friday, 17th Jan, to pick up the order. When I reached on Friday to pick up the order, I was told that the order is not ready as they somehow got confused that we needed fresh piece of items and not the floor samples. I don't understand, if I had to take the floor samples, I would have taken them home on the same day I ordered them. Anyways, we thought of it as an honest mistake. After all this chaos, on the same day (17th Jan), my wife placed an order in the store for '24'' Working Gear Clock' for my birthday and requested them for the pick up of 25th Jan. The cashier assured my wife that all the items will be available for pick up on 25th. We waited till 25th Jan and did not receive any communication from the store. I called at the store and was told that half of my order will be available for pick up on next Tuesday (i.e. 28th Jan, 2020) and the clock would be ready for pick up on 18th Feb, 2020 (the clock was a gift from my wife on my birthday which is on 30th Jan, so these guys completely ruined it). Upon asking more questions regarding the delay, the associate on call transferred me to the store manager. The store manager could not be less helpful. He did not explain the reason for the delay, he did not even apologize and bluntly gave us three options, either we take the floor samples, or we wait for the items to arrive or just cancel the entire order. Honestly, this is the worst service I have ever got. After this I really got annoyed and I told the store manager that he is not helpful and I will talk to the customer support. I called customer support and they said that we should talk to the store and they cannot provide any assistance. Well, to be honest we were completely helpless at that point and I did not wanted to spoil my weekend so I decided to wait till Tuesday, 28th Jan. Today is 28th Jan and I did not receive any call, so I called the store and I was told that the pick up was never scheduled for today since the store manager made a notation on our order that 'Client may cancel the order'. Since I don't intend to waste the rest of my day, I just gave up and told the lady to schedule a pick up for the closest available date and I have been given the date of Saturday, 1st Feb 2020 for 'Clear Glass Lazy Susan' and 'Cheval Mirror'. The '24'' Working Gear Clock', god knows when it is going to arrive.
So guys, if you want to pay for something and wait for months to get your order, you are most welcome to shop...
Read moreWhile our furniture is beautiful our experience, not so much. We ordered our furniture in June and for whatever reason our order didn’t exist. Took about two weeks to fix this problem. While not a huge deal would have been nice to have it when it was originally scheduled for pick up. When the order finally existed within their system they were great and contacted us to arrange our pick up. Day of pick up comes and it’s is pooping rain to the point of flash flooding. I was nervous to drive out there so we called in advance to make sure everything was ready to go and we were told it wasn’t at the store yet and to expect a call NLT 2pm since the truck to the store apparently usually comes NLT that time...again not a big deal. 2 comes along and by 3 we are agin calling them because we never received a call saying our order was at the store and ready for pick up. They tell us it’s there and that we can come in at any time to pick it up so we confirm that we will be there in 20-30 minutes. We arrive and are told to go around back to pick it up and whoever came out (honestly not sure if it was a manager and I couldn’t tell you his name as he never gave it) and tells us we can’t get our furniture because their guy to load the furniture wasn’t there and we would have to come back later or another day. Keep in mind that we called in advance to make sure that we could come pick up the furniture at this time. Also the man who came out to tell us this never once addressed me (the person who ordered the furniture) only my father in law which I thought was rude. So we had to come back later to pick it up...finally we get our furniture home and and it’s damaged. Probably one of the only things they did right was put in for a new piece and offer free delivery for the new item and pick up for the damaged. After that we thought that was the end, except all communication with them ceased after that for about 3-4 weeks when we finally contacted them to see when our new piece was to be expected. Read moreBought a dining set here .. Beautiful I was excited because I wanted to be sure I was able to buy something of good quality .. Wellllllllllll they charged me $80 for delivery and putting the set together which I was willing to pay because it just took the headache away from me .. They delivered it and a few days after I’m looking at the bench and notice a crack in the bench.. When they put it together they were so rough they cracked the wood so the bench fell apart .. I called them and they said they would send me an email to schedule a date for replacement cool thought it was nice and easy I scheduled it for April 5 .. Mind you I bought this table to host family which I couldn’t do because I had a broken bench.. The day before they are supposed to deliver my replacement bench they call me and ask me to send photos of the bench which I did shortly after then I receive a phone call telling me my delivery would be canceled because they now have to replace the whole set and they move forward to schedule me another week later.. I explained to the rep who was rude because instead of listening she kept asking for a date of delivery when I explained to her waiting another week for delivery was crazy cause we are already two weeks waiting for a replacement she didn’t care her response was well you just sent the photos well ma’am I just sent the photos because you guys just called the day before to ask for them so when I received that response I asked for her manager who she claimed wasn’t there .. I asked for her manager name she said Gary I asked her to please have her manager reach out to me and left my phone number and well Gary never called me so now I am here writing this review because as a Supervisor in customer service the way this was handled was very poor ..
