This building is a very awesome building holds ho-ho's teriyaki the Queen of Sheba and Ethiopian cuisine and the clinkerdinger restaurant and a whole bunch of shops that are awesome looking antique shops glass shops a whole bunch of fun things first time I had walked in this building I'm not from Spokane just moved here a couple years ago so I'm finding new things everyday this building is definitely a great find I was so excited when I found it I didn't know where the Ethiopian restaurant was in town and I love Ethiopian food and I speak to Grandma language which is one of their native languages I love eating their cuisine! So I definitely will be going there I went to the clinkerdinger and I got creme brulee for orders of it the crab dip appetizer and the calamari and I had two strawberry lemon drops the lemon drops out of this world best I have ever had kind of price you had to pay 1250 a piece for them so $25 for two but it was pretty good tasting so I can't complain too much the calamari was amazing the crab dip was absolutely delightful they gave me a whole bunch of great breads Christine's and house breads that are homemade and the only complaint I had was a creme brulee I don't feel it was caramelized enough on top and they literally just plopped it in the cardboard boxes and I paid pretty penny for it it should have some little to go tens that they make it in to be a little class here step your game up clinkerdinger! Some little bit of food not even the meal dessert appetizers in the couple drinks but anyway I loved it still I will definitely be going back I love the flour mill definitely going back! Definitely recommend you go there great place...
ย ย ย Read moreThe Flour Mill is an often overlooked stop for both shopping and dining. In addition to Clinks, there is an amazing authentic Ethiopian restaurant that should definitely be checked out. The bead store is full of odds and ends and the Smoke shop has little gifts like shaving supplies. My very favorite spot is Wonders of the World. They have lots of educational and artisan gifts. The owner is very careful to include quality and interesting items. Parking does cost moat days, but on a nice day I suggest parking up a few blocks and making a walk of it. Two other shops you should stop at are the Chocolate Apothecary and the Kitchen Engine. There is a huge selection of affordable salt varieties at the Kitchen Engine and they have occasional cooking classes. Last time I visited, it smelled like steak and brisket! The staff at all the store and restaurant locations are very friendly and knowledgeable and the building has a historic feel that adds to your visiting experience. There's much more than I'm listing here, so it's definitely worth checking out if you have never been or if it's been a while. Love this little nook of Spokane and have to remind myself of the hidden little treasure every now and...
ย ย ย Read moreI enjoy the Flour Mill, and find many of their shops to be overpriced. It is fun to browse around this historic building. Clinkerdagger's Restaurant is pricey, and a place friends want to eat at when visiting from out of town. If you eat outside, there is a great view of the river. I have seen shops come and go, and you may be surprised when you walk into the mall and find there are not as many shops as you thought. Several businesses have offices there. And I believe those floors are closed off. If you do choose to go to a particular shop, you might want to see if parking is validated. To pay $$$ for some trinket and then be charged so much for parking is not okay. Oh and Chateau Rive is there and a great wedding venue, but when guests fly in from out of state, pay for hotels and rental cars and then get charged for parking they are not too happy. So if it is your wedding, ask Chateau Rive if they have discounted parking, and have it rolled...
