I'm rating this Starbucks relative to other coffee shops in the Las Vegas region, not other Starbucks. Though, I might still be adding comparisons to other Starbucks in the descriptions for a better picture of the place.
In terms of a place to sit down and find a chat, this Starbucks is more on the social side as the nearby residents seem more amicable. There's this nice, large wooden table here that encourages you to sit next to each other and talk. People are usually doing work on that table but it does give the feel that you can easily start a conversation if you wanted to (I've met a few new people here and I'm more of the quiet type). There are smaller tables and sitting areas for a more private space but the majority of them will encourage you to sit next to someone.
As a work space, it's alright with a good headset as it does prompt more of a conversational environment as oppose to any other coffee place, not just other Starbucks. This Starbucks is more on the busier side and it has been recently renovated so the decor is clean and fantastic. Busier is nicer for Starbucks as the staff and business is more motivated to maintain the place, which is why this one looks really nice; the ghetto ones are ghetto because they don't get enough business. In terms of coffee shops to study and work at, people would usually like a quieter setting compared to this one. It is also a small shop so seats are quite hard to find and it's pretty inconvenient when you brought all your work equipment and no place to sit. I will say that it is 24 hours and If you're a late night worker, you can definitely find a seat in the after hours with always enough customers around working where it doesn't feel eerie.
The usual AT&T internet is offered. One private restroom for men and one for women. Drive-Thru is busy in the morning. Plenty of parking in the back; it's a Las Vegas local area and there's always plenty of desert space for large parking lots.
The staff is nice as the busier Starbucks motivate them to be more accommodating; the slower ones tend to be less so. The reverse of this is true for privately owned coffee shops. All this of course is generally speaking and there are exceptions. I read the other reviews for this Starbucks that complained about the workers and pace and I thinks it's stupid to review a place mainly based off this, as the review stays but different workers come and go. That is to say, the staff is still a very important consideration but it is one to be incorporated in a better manner than, I had one bad experience with one bad worker that could or could not still be working there after someone read the review I wrote. Quality of work staff is always arbitrary and fleeting at any shop so better to concentrate on the things that will stay when reading a review and then finding out who the good workers are when you frequently visit a location (I've come here more than once).
Altogether, this place rocks four stars from me, ratings relative to other coffee shops around Vegas, not the world, as I lived in Seattle for 5 years and I can get pretty snooty if comparing to EVERY coffee shop...
Read moreCame in, there were 4 girls, not a single one greeted customers coming in, the red haired girl was always on her phone, they ALL avoided eye contact, there was a customer ahead of me upset he paid for an order and no one helped him, after being ignored for so long I decided I'll just take a water and go the FIRST thing she says to me is "have you made a purchase" HOW COULD I HAVE POSSIBLY MADE A PURCHASE when EVERYONE just faces the wall and avoided EVERY customer coming in, not to pull this card but I did notice specifically the guys skin tone as well as mine will were treated poorly, but I thought we were passed that phase.
The red haired girl refused to look anyway in the eye hoping she didn't have to do anything so she could get on her phone, the black haired girl with blonde streaks looked like she'd been smoking and sluring her words the entire time.
So I said I was going to buy something but after being ignored for 10 MINUTES...
Read moreThis Starbucks is normally always on point. Which is something I can always appreciate it seems like other Starbucks in the surrounding area can't seem to get the drink right or when we pay extra money for extra drizzle it's not any extra but this one always get the order right and puts the extra caramel. They're always very friendly only couple times have they had some weird stuff like they didn't have like whipped cream or something else. I've never really waited more than 10 minutes from ordering to getting my drink. They go out of their way to make sure that I'm having a good day and that's important because if I pay six dollars for a drink ,I want to be correct and when it isn't. I feel like having to ask again or have them make it again makes me feel like a b** and kinda makes me kinda grumpy and ruins the rest of the my day! So I just wanted to say thank you to this Starbucks for that...
