Summer Street Kitchen — Restaurant in Stamford

This is a great place to eat. It was slow so I sat by the window hoping business would pick and it did. A middle-aged couple came in with a puzzled look on their face, as though they were desperate for something to do. The menu is large and in charge but I judge each deli by one dish and one dish alone, the chicken parm wedge. Is the bread fresh, is the chicken crispy, is the sauce homemade etc.? Sometimes a spot is constrained by its ability to both deliver and keep the price down; Summer Street Deli somehow figured this out. I ordered a Pedro Special and a Chicken Parm Wedge and spent $25 with tip. Not bad. The chicken parm was crispy, the sauce was sweet and the motz was tangy. The chili was also delicious with a touch of spice but not to little which infuriates me. I like a hot chili. Like a diet Merrit Canteen chili flavor, very good though.

But over all I like this little spot with lots of dining space that is roomy but maintains a classic feel without all this pretentious so called atmosphere that doesn’t require it’s presence in a neighborhood spot such as this. Definitely worth a look but don’t take your date here unless your married, it’s not that kind of...

Hate to even have to do this but it’s pretty ridiculous. I stopped going here years ago because whenever I would place an order, my food would always get messed up. Never correctly placed, always something added or not put on when asked (and paid for). I decided to try again today for lunch, ordered two sandwiches & a bag of chips .. $30. I specifically asked for no mayonnaise. I’m one of those people that mentions it more than once to make sure. I get home, & ofcourse there’s mayo. Waste of my time and money. Rather go elsewhere where I’m not being charged more with worse service....

I had someone pick up my order for me last time and the sandwich wasn't to my liking. However , when I came here today I got a burger blt tasted delicious! Crunchy bacon, and the juice from the tomato with the onion and avocado made it just right . It was oozing with juices yummy! Definitely would recommend it , since it also came with chipotle mayo leaves your lips a little burnt but not that burnt it's like a small tint of spice but good for flavor.
