My husband and I moved from NY to Stamford about 8yrs ago. Since moving we have tried several taco spots but have been highly disappointed especially with the Carnitas tacos. We would have to drive back to NY to get good Mexican food. WELL TO MY SURPRISE only 5 minutes from my house was this little gem Cinco de Mayo. When I tell you their customer service is AMAZING!!!! The food is EVEN MORE AMAZING! Tonight we got carnitas tacos, steak tacos & fajitas. EVERYTHING was so FRESH & DELICIOUS!!! They are going to get tired of seeing me and my husband lol. The lady at the register suggested I try the enchiladas next time so we will be trying that Friday. Yes that’s how great the food is, we had it tonight (Wednesday) for dinner and we will be back Friday. I met a man there who had just finished eating and shared with me he had passed by this establishment for years and kept saying he would stop for lunch one day. He said he was so very glad that he did as he thoroughly enjoyed his food as well. BY FAR THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN STAMFORD, CT! Trust me I’ve tried them all just about! It’s hard to top NY restaurants but I have to admit they even got the Mexican spots in NY beat. Folks I’m telling you YOU WILL BE DOING YOURSELF A DISSERVICE IF YOU DO NOT TRY CINCO DE MAYO RESTAURANT IN...

We have been here five times, and each time the experience has been amazing. The owner greets us every time, recommends other options, and we keep surprising ourselves on how much we enjoy their food. Definitely recommend their chorizo nachos, the tortillas is both crispy and soft from the melted shredded cheese. If you're craving for a salad, their vegetable burrito is akin to a warm, delicious grain bowl. Finally, highly recommend the tortas, if you are craving a burger. Try the spicy pork or carnitas as the protein!
PS: neither the post nor the pictures had the tacos. We don't want to share them with you cause they are just...

I'm complicated when it comes to takeout over the phone, so I made it simple and they still messed it up. My friend said lets call it Cinco de Bye Yo. Cause we are never going...
