Took the family here for the first time on a Saturday. Here are the pros and cons, I'll also be comparing to Knotts. So first impression, its a nice place for families of smaller children. My 3.5 year old (around 36 inches tall) was able to go on EVERY ride. Whereas at Knotts she'd mostly be in camp snoopy area. So it was nice not having to deny her any ride experience. The lines weren't bad considering it was weekend of 4th of July. The longest line for us was for the family train ride, and it still wasn't as bad as Knotts lines. We also got game card for arcade. The arcade was super crowded which was understandable because it offered shade. But allot of games were out of order or not working properly. If you want to do family photos you'll be disappointed because there were no rovers offering to snap a pic. Also no cameras at rides. So we did miss out on getting a family pic. Petting area had a few goats that you can buy feed to give, also there are brushes out so you can brush them. There are also chickens you can look at. The area was surprisingly clean due to the hard work of the animal attendant. The games workers aren't as friendly, and teacher for "Dance" party lacked energy for show. (Which was the only entertainment offered for kids.) Don't get me wrong, she did dance and kids followed along. But it wasn't high energy like Knotts entertainment. There were several rides attendants who were helpful and hit the mark for service. Also the front ticket seller was amazing and had a full convo with my kid which was adorable. Parking wasn't too bad, but if you get there later in day you may have to park on side street because lot can fill up fast. But parking is free whereas Knotts is additional charge for most part. Ticket prices are low which is a definite plus for families looking for amusement park fun on a budget. So all in all it's a nice spot for families with smaller kids. We did enjoy our time here and my kid couldn't care less about the small...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking for a place to take our kids under 10 years old, we found Adventure City. Costs our family of 4 the same to go spend the evening at the movies. We arrived around 10am, from the parking lot I can see approximately 10 people in line to get in. By the time we unloaded the kids from our truck, there was no line at all. There are many kids rides to choose from and they are in good condition, no reason to worry about my kids getting scratched or bumped and bruised. The petting zoo was delightful, the animals healthy, active and well cared for. The park was well maintained. I did not see any splintered wood or flaking paint on the floor. The gardens were lush and well manicured. The employees were friendly and ready to help when I spilled my drink, They added to the atmosphere. I also have a 15 year old daughter who didn't feel out of place considering this amusement park focuses on the amusement of younger children. Most rides do not have ride restrictions, I was able to get on most rides with my 3 year old. The fountain drinks are crisp and bubbly just the way I like it. The food was hot and fresh, my soft pretzel was delicious and worth every penny. I didn't come here for the food but I was not disappointed by the quality and the preparation of my meal. Recommendations: Earlier is better the rides are fresh/clean, petting zoo animals are active and employees attitudes are 10 out of 10. Price for family of 4 is equal to taking a family of 4 to the movies with popcorn and drinks. Where else can you spend 10 hours of fun with your kids for under $150?? This amusement park is geared to amuse younger children, older children, especially rowdy kids, may not enjoy this fun little jem. Great place to throw a birthday party where a lot of kids will be present. There is no mess to clean up and the food / service was...
Read moreWow!! This is our favorite place now. We went on Good Friday and it wasn’t busy. Parking was easy. Got a spot right away. I don’t know how it would be on a Saturday but I was still impressed. We got there about an hour after they opened. No wait to get in and a HEADS UP: You MUST buy your tickets beforehand online, you cannot buy at the door. We got a double stroller for 6 bucks (sooo affordable) and the kids loved that thing. To wait in line took no more than 10 mins everywhere. And there’s no extra cost for anything other than food and souvenirs. The kids LOVED the dance party! As did we honestly lol they have one every hour and it’s about 10 mins long. My niece is autistic and she loved being able to run around the dance floor, as far as the rides, she did pretty well. Honestly she did better waiting in line than my kid (very impatient 😅) wasn’t bad at all. They also have a small petting zoo! You can actually pick up the chickens if you want. So much fun. Our kids are both 3 years old and they spent an almost solid 4 hours here. And there is re-entry so that’s a plus. I would pay to do this again over Disneyland any day at this age.
Facilities is very clean. No long lines for the bathrooms. A separate Changing area was awesome and is decent. The overall park is well kept and clean.
Staff is very friendly and helpful with everything! The rides are moderately fast too. I was pretty surprised at how intense they were. Food is DELICIOUS! They have a Beyond Burger for Vegetarians/Vegans which was my favorite thing. As a vegan I end up starving at places lol Options for kids as well as sliced apples for kids over fries.
I’ll definitely...
