Booked a week long stay a few months ago. The area looks a little run down, but the hotel looked decent. When we were checking on something on their website the week before our trip, it mentioned they would be closing at the end of the summer for renovations. We arrived (from 3 states away) on a Sunday afternoon to check in. All the Baymont signs were covered in white sheets. I thought maybe they were starting construction early, or rebranding. We pulled into the parking lot - a few rough looking cars and trucks and some motorcycles - homeless looking people wandering around outside and in the smoking area. There was a man peeing in the bushes along Beach Blvd when we pulled in (around 3:00 pm broad daylight). We got a lot of stares as we exited the vehicle and decided not to get any bags out yet. Lots of rough looking guys hanging out on the stairways and balcony areas, shouting back and forth to different groups. We entered the lobby - nice looking place. The front desk clerks looked shocked to see us, and said the hotel was closed. They said we should have been called by the third party booking company because they called them all and cancelled all reservations as of mid February. While we were in the lobby, several "tenants" came in to change out towels and sheets, and a couple women who honestly looked like prostitutes came in the lobby to return a broom and dust pan. It was really creepy - all the "guests" seemed to know each other very well. My best guess was that the property has somehow been turned into a drug dealing center or human trafficking operation - it was really shady! Stay away from this place unless you are law enforcement! We did get a full refund from our booking company and found another place to stay, but it was a very unsettling way to start...
Read moreThis place was horrible. Had a mother/Daughter vacation and we booked this hotel online because it was close to Disneyland. We got there and they book us in some room that is off in a corner. First off, the entire hotel area smells like mold. We get in the room & it smells worse like mold. The carpet was sticky and gross, the wallpaper looked like the walls of silent Hill. They give you 3 tiny square pillows. I went and talked to the desk and asked for more pillows and told them the room was creepy. They moved us to a different room that was slightly better but had a Crack across the ceiling, a hole park of the ceiling by the window, and a circle looking crack. The walls were so thin that I could hear casual conversations and people having sex. People at the pool were not loud but we could hear them talking - and we had the window closed and we're on the third floor. The second day our cards quit working so we had to get new cards. One thing after another adding up that we were like this place is beyond horrible. Definitely needs a coat of paint, tile needs updated, carpets replaced, two-ply toilet paper, some pressure to the shower, the washing machine in the parking lot is tacky, and well it would be easier to take the building down and restart. Do not stay here...this place is creepy from the...
Read moreThe Baymont Inn in Anaheim, CA is the perfect little getaway if you are looking to rent a room by the hour, or need a cozy spot to use illegal drugs, especially of the injectable persuasion. If this discribes you, by all means, reserve your room now!
If you are a drug free, middle class firefighter's family, then BEWARE!! The reviews of this place are CRAZY, because they make it seem like a nice little cheap place to stay. We arrived after an 8 hour drive with two young kids to a 3rd floor room with no elevator (broken). After lugging our baggage up 3 flights of stairs at 11:30 at night, we arrived to a disgusting room that I'd imagine even those seeking hourly accommodations would find questionable.
Carpet had holes in it, and some crazy stains throughout, it wreaked of vomit and cigarettes, the sink was cracked, and was filthy overall. We are not a picky family, especially at almost midnight after a long drive, but this room was so bad we immediately packed the kids back in the truck, and drove 10 minutes to Anaheim Hilton. It was well worth...
