NO!!!!!!! Some things should not be on Priceline, and this is the biggest offender in the USA. Description said it was a 3-star motel with a garden. See the photos for the “garden.” Bad to worst from arrival. Very dilapidated and aged structure. Room numbers applied to doors with handwritten post it notes taped over. The remote for the tv was passed through the cubicle window with the parking pass. No Covid protocol. Room for 4 had 2 towels, period, no hand towels or wash cloths or bath mat are provided. I asked. I had to walk to a store and buy Glade air freshener spray before entering the “room.” Not as nice as my dog’s accommodations and certainly not suited for adults. This looks like an hourly establishment. I cannot describe the condition inside and am standing in the parking lot writing this review. I cannot bear to take photos. I’ve checked into motels and found blood on the comforter and it was much cleaner and nicer than this “motel.” Obviously waiting for demolition after a buyout. Avoid. I’m an experienced traveler and I am completely embarrassed that this has happened to me. Addendum once inside the room. The WiFi access code IS NOT PROVIDED UNLESS YOU ASK FOR IT! The sheets on both beds were dirty and both beds were made differently and wrong; blanket under sheet, sheet on top. Toilet paper roll had been fully immersed in water and dried, then placed in room tinged brown. Replacement sheets and toilet paper were requested. Sheets provided were freshly cleaned but perforated with holes. A $25 cash only deposit was required for some reason. Gang graffiti was on headboards of Room 203. The entire toilet was not attached to the floor and rocked upon touching. There were unidentifiable colored substances on the room walls. The floors were not visibly clean. Toiletries for one person were provided and not increased for 4 guests. Beds were singles, not queens. There is no phone in the room. The mini refrigerator worked. The microwave did not. The strongest WiFi signal in the room was for the Orange County Sheriffs Department and the third strongest signal was the Anaheim Police Department. The motel was 6th strongest. I believe law enforcement watches this motel and parking lot for questionable activities. You have been duly warned not to stay here...
Read moreI rate this hotel 2 stars due to what it offers.
1 Cheap. For 50 bucks a night, it's a bargin.
Accomodates the bare minimum. AC functions, although slowly 2.5 stars Beds are clean with 3 pillows and a blanket 3 stars Standard toilet, shower, and sink with shampoo conditioner packs and hand bar soaps 2.5 stars
Tech Services are satisfactory with minor setbacks. Tv is limited, but it's there 2 stars Wifi is wifi 6 and is given on the TV remote upon checkin 4 stars. Microwave and Fridge are clean and work as intended, although they could have saved space by installing them into its intended spot in the furniture. Most likely, due to wiring limitations, 3 stars. Outlets are a bit dirty and old, but they function. It does not accomidate all cases in convenient spots, but there is enough. 2.5 stars. The lights are on standard locations. There's no bedlights or tablelights. Just overhead lights here and there to pick. 2 stars.
I wouldn't say dilapidated, but the aesthetics and cleanliness could be debated. Tiles look atrocious. It looks like someone picked brown and beige, and someone else said it lacks color, so it has a split personality of simple and vibrancy of maplewood with lapis lazuli shading. 2 stars. The walls are white with some painted blue, and the door is painted blue. The paint does need repair jobs. 2.5 stars.
The location is just okay. It does make me feel uneasy to be here. The only thing that protects you is a locked door and a deadbolt. 2 stars. The location is on the corner of Beach and Ball. 4 stars. They seem to be very cautious of the people the occupants for safety and are a little strict to my accustoms.
Overall(tldr): I rate this motel a 2.5/5. I think it still needs changes in some places and more upkeep in order to what I consider standard. I didn't find anything wrong with the place, and for a price of 50, i can't complain. If you need a place to stay for the night and don't need anything fancy, this place is fine. With 80, however, you probably could get a place that offers breakfast, a pool, a better AC and TV, more room, better cleanliness, liquid soaps, and maybe more. I'd recommend the upgrade so that when you stay, you aren't...
Read moreI was so pleasantly surprised, astonished, and elated to find the room I had rented was in immaculate condition, quite large and spacious, and having a sleek modern minimalist look (I describe at is minimalist because from me it is a compliment as I appreciate the minimalist look and feel). Although the area leaves much to be desired, it isn't bad at all, unlike skid row or the tenderloin in San Francisco. I feel safe here as there is a single entrance and single parking lot and in order to get past the driveway and into the parking lot, you must actually drive past both cameras and the front desk window facing the driveway, almost like a gate guard👍👍👍😁😁😁. There are two Seven-11's (7-11 mini-mart), near by: the one on Beach Ave, is very small and apparently closed until 5am, but I am unsure of what time they closed; the one on Ball is much larger and has a better selection, the employees are nicer, and although the door may be locked if you knock politely and ask nicely and make sure they can see either cash or card in hand, they will open the door as I just now found out. The ONLY complaints I have at The Travel Inn are: 1.) There is no land line telephone in my room, 2.) When attempting to call the front desk, albeit at a late late (actually early) hour, I could not get a person to answer, and I really needed the WiFi password, and 3.) I only got one roomkey. I realize these are very minor complaints and totally 1st world problems. I have ranked then a total of four out of five possible stars (4/5 stars,⭐⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐). I have ranked the rooms 5 out of a possible of 5 stars. Service ranked at 4 stars out of 5 possible because I couldn't reach front desk from my mobile. Lastly I have ranked the location 3 stars out of 5 possible because it's, well it certainly could be so much worse, and it really isn't bad at all, quite average. Out of 3 total categories there is a potential to accumulated 15 stars total, The Travel Inn received 12 stars out of 15 [12stars earned ÷ 3 total categories = 4 stars; 15 total possible stars ÷ 3 total categories= 5. Therefore total rating is 4...
