Nice facility but the printing terminal is an issue. I was in the area and I went to print some sensitive documents such as a bank statement, paid the fee and the computer would not connect to the printer. I went and got help from the black lady that worked there and she couldn't get it to print either so first she saved my BANK STATEMENT to the public computer desktop. Still didn't work then she went and got a jump drive( not sure whose jump drive) and saved my BANK STATEMENT to the jump drive and printed from her computer and told me I was good to go. Um NO MA'AM. My bank statement is on the desktop and some mystery jump drive and she seemed like it was cool. She was nice but I am not that trusting of anyone! We finally were able to get it deleted (or so I hope) off the desktop and she 'said' she deleted it off her jump drive. I'm not sure she did and I am feeling very uneasy about it. I wanted to write this review to alert others not to let them save your personal info anywhere and also as documentation that some stranger I don't know might have my BANK STATEMENT in her posession. Not ok. Other than that the library is nice but the printing issue needs to be rectified and if your employees are saving ppl's important info, they need to at least show us they are fully deleting it. As a victim of identity theft this is not ok and I expect more from a public government facility. If anything strange comes up, I know where to send my lawyers and will do so with swift diligence. That really creeped me out and the fact that she seemed nonchalant about having my info is unnerving. I appreciated the help but next time I'll just go to a FED EX or Kinkos if my printer is not functioning. It's not worth possibly having my info out there in a PUBLIC LIBRARY for...
Read moreThis is our neighborhood library and we’re regulars. Decent sized children’s section, but wish it had more comfortable seating options and more engagement for kids outside of the books - a soft play area for toddlers and coloring/painting station for older kids would be incredible.
The librarians aren’t the most outgoing but they are very helpful and kind.
The reason for my less than 5 star review is that the building is overrun by middle school teens M-F from 4pm on. The parents of the middle school up the street are using the library as free afterhours care and it’s very uncomfortable for families with small kids and other patrons. The librarians are doing what they can but the teens are loud, leave food everywhere, fight, and take up every seat in the children’s area. It makes the library unusable in the timeframe and the parking lot becomes dangerous with parents idling, speeding...
Read moreI visited this library today and was less than impressed. While the children's side was neat, it was completely disengaging. No activity sheets or crayons provided and they still have Halloween decorations up, obviously someone who just works there for a check. My child and I were never greeted upon arrival but once we left an older sad looking black woman said " have a nice day" so dryly like we were inconveniencing her that we even came at all. I recieved better treatment at a library in Lithonia, I will definitely...
