This shop holds a delightful assortment of curiosities, with a heavy emphasis on Harry Potter themed merch. This is a very neat shop to visit, unfortunately it is quite expensive, price checking some items I found them to be 2-3 times more expensive than online options. I really am ok with this to support local shops, and they do have some unique hard to find things. However, pricing was strike one they struck out in two other areas. The wands seemed like an afterthought, there was a display and then there were stacked boxes of wands above the display. There was no help in picking out a wand, there was no magic or backstory in doing it. They are of course also not licensed Harry Potter wands, so it’s all very generic. The wands ranged from $30-$50, we had no idea what made a wand $20 more expensive than another, they all seemed of the same quality, which is to say they seemed like they were made from a light weight wood. We went in intending to buy a wand, but they were kind of lackluster and we didn’t want to spend $50 on one. The biggest offense however was the hot chocolate. Five of us bought or created custom hot chocolate “potions”, it was a cold day a few days after Christmas. Three of us threw them away in the trash can right around the corner from their door. If you create a potion they give you the option of Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or white chocolate in a 16oz or 20oz cup. Then toppings like whipped cream, marshmallows and chocolate morsels. All toppings are extra, marshmallows for example were a $1 addition. So, we were are all excited to try out the hot chocolates, they looked amazing, the whipped cream tasted great, then when you got to the hot chocolate itself it was extremely watered down, it was like water with a hint of chocolate. Maybe we got them on a bad day, maybe their ratios were off, but we all agreed it was terrible. Three of us tossed their cups after a few sips, two of us soldiered on refusing to toss out a $5 cup of hot chocolate, even if it was no good. If you are into this stuff and at the shops already, then it’s worth a visit. But keep your expectations in check, it’s no Ollivanders. I hope the watered down hot chocolate is not a common thing, it’s a big draw, perfect it and they will get repeat customers, otherwise it will be a lot of disappointed one and done shoppers. I’d rather pay $5 for a unique and delicious 10oz cup of hot chocolate, rather than for a 20oz cup of flavored water with good...

The owners of this place deserve all the credit and praise for the uniqueness of this shop. This is not a Harry Potter shop, but it is a shop with a lot of Harry Potter items that Harry Potter fans would love. It’s also a shop that people not in love with Harry Potter (as the person I went here with) would love.

They offer a wide range of gifts such as cookbooks and novels, mugs, unique wands and more. But they also offer a make-your-own potion bar (aka a drink bar) and it’s perfect. You can choose from hot or cold and with the number of offerings they have, you could make a new one each day and not even try all of the combinations. I went with the cold version and had strawberry, peach and pineapple and it was delicious. It is similar to a soda but none of the flavors tasted artificial and they all blended well together. I highly recommend getting two smaller sizes so you can try a few different combinations when you’re there. Also, be sure to visit the website and check out the menu ahead of time because it can be a bit overwhelming with all of...

If I could give this place a 10 I would. I love the store it’s adorable. The potions are tasty and refreshing. I recently lost my aunt, she was obsessed with Harry Potter’ so seeing this setup was sweet. I met a man who works there his name is Edward, he called himself a wand master. He took his time and really helped me find a cute wand. The wand he picked for me was my aunts favorite colors Brown and Blue. I didn’t tell him he just listened to me and really got into the selling part of it. He was very patient. The other employees were friendly as well. Harry Potter and the cute shop are a bonus. But his customer service and the experience I had will bring me back for sure.

Edited to respond to Owner: Thank you for opening a place like this, I’ve been waiting a longtime for this kind of store. And Please thank that Employee for the time he took with me. He really was a...

First off, I don't get the negative reviews saying that there's too much Harry Potter in this shop. That's like going to a Sci Fi convention and saying that there's too much Star Wars! You may dislike it, but you can't deny they revitalized their respective genres and it makes sense for them to be there! The Cloak and Wand is a gem of a store in Mystick Village. You can tell the owners put a lot of love into creating a fantasy haven that pays tribute to classic fantasy genres. There are a lot of books, toys, and magic wands to behold! The highlight is definitely the potions café, though! There, they have so many delectable concoctions fitting in theme to fantasy brews - but you have the choice to customize your own potions too. While sweet, they actually do taste very good! Highly recommend that you add their gold dust to make it even more fun!

Really cool place like no other. Our favorite spot in this store is a little room with potions. In the room there is a jar of unicorn horns and fairy bones to purchase as well as other clever spooky things. The potions bar is also unique. You pick your potion, customize or select one of their own creations. The receipt will tell you what the potion will do to you once you drink it. My daughter (8) could speak to animals after she drank hers. The label on the drink is clever as well. My daughter has gotten two different drinks from there and didn’t like either one. I always like them though. Ingredients include, but are not limited to, unicorn cream, mermaid tears, and fairy dust. The staff is very friendly and contributes to the neat vibe of the place. A must visit!
