Stayed here with my wife and our dog for a vacation for 6 nights. We took a roadtrip and actually got in one night early. Mike checked us in and was super friendly and welcoming.
Since we had our small dog, we couldn’t stay in the main hotel (main hotel doesn’t allow pets), which was a little bit of bummer (only because we love the historic charm behind the inn) so we were booked into the motel portion just next door (10-15 steps from the main hotel). The motel room was clean (all hardwood floors in our room, room 10) with plenty of windows for natural light, TV (equipped with an Apple TV), king sized bed and small refrigerator. The bathroom was also clean. The tub inside the shower was a bit squeaky when moving around while showering, but that’s to be expected with a bit of an older inn. The room had an updated pin (keyless) entry which was also nice. There was plenty of parking both up near the motel (motel has rooms on the lower and upper level) and also down near the main part of the inn. There’s a designated pet area with a trash bin and dog poop bags. Everything was well lit at night and we felt safe. The motel didn’t have as much attention to detail as we saw inside the main inn, but that wasn’t a deal breaker for us.
In the main inn, they offer complimentary hot coffee and tea (pre bagged ice for guests), as well as newly renovated (and absolutely stunning) touches (furniture, seating areas, etc). The staff during our time here has all been incredibly friendly, and genuinely nice which unfortunately is rare to find these days — so refreshing and only made our stay here better. We had interactions with Mike, Heather and Steve who were all really easy to talk with and hold a genuine conversation. Steve gave us great recommendations on things to see, and do and places to eat & drink while we were here (all fantastic suggestions).
The Stowe Village Inn is only a short walk to main street which has plenty of options for food, drink and shopping. Centrally located to a bunch of other Vermont specific businesses (all within a ~15 minute drive) including Ben & Jerry’s, Cold Hollow Cider Mill & The Roastery (all must tries while you’re in town btw).
While we are sad to be leaving, we cannot wait until our next trip up here. If you’re in the area and looking for a great place to stay, look no...

A friend and I spent a long weekend staying at the Stowe Village Inn. We changed our plans from another hotel, and I am glad we did. Fresh off of a recent renovation, staying here really enhanced our Stowe experience.
The staff is present, invested, attentive, and accommodating. You always see the owners, Mike and Lauren, at the front desk, refreshing coffee, and listening to music in the lounge. The people serving you at Grant’s—the onsite cocktail lounge (open weekends)—are friendly, helpful, and really just fun to be around. Mackenzie behind the bar eagerly makes craft cocktails with obvious passion & knowledge. The food was also fresh and tasty—the poutine, chicken Caesar salad, and chili all hit the spot. The lounge also offers fantastic live music. We spent a Saturday night there with friends who work on Broadway, and the live music impressed even those who tend to be skeptical.
As for the room, my friend and I split the king suite. It was fresh, roomy, charming, and perfect for our needs. The suite has a bedroom with a king bed in new linens, and a living area with a small refrigerator and a pull-out couch. It has ample closet and hooks for our ski equipment and outerwear. The new bathroom with walk-in shower had strong water pressure. It was nice and warm after a day of skiing. The whole property also has fast Wi-Fi with a strong signal.
The location is easily walkable to everything in downtown Stowe—restaurants, shopping, and a complete grocery store. Though we didn’t have a car, the hotel has parking and I think they’re exploring e-vehicle chargers. The shuttle stop for the ski resort is a two minute walk away.
My one minor recommendation would be for the property to explore offering ski lockers with drying racks somewhere on the property. This might not be feasible, but we felt bad storing our ski equipment in our freshly remodeled room with wood floors.

I look forward to coming back next year. For Steve's customer care I will gladly give them 3 more stars.
Thank you Steve.
I have no doubt that the Inn itself is a 5 star stay. My warning is if you travel with a pet and you see that they are pet friendly. If you have a pet you will not be staying in the Inn but in a bunk house across the muddy gravel and sand parking lot. The bunk house rooms are clean but here are the issues.
No dresser or closet to hang up or put away your clothes No carpet or rug, only hardwood. That means your feet will get dirty from the gravel and sand mud driveway getting tracked in on your shoes. The toilets do always need a second flush no matter what. The bathroom floor is fake tile linoleum that is laid over obviously old broken tile and you constantly hear the old broken tile moving around when you walk on the floor. The bathtub is slippery and dangerous The tub faucet plate wasn't even attached to the tub and flopped around. The caulking job in the entire bathroom was done by a 4 year old. Basically the bathroom needs to be gutted. There is no coffee service in the room. If you are in the Inn you just walk downstairs which is fine. In the bunk house you have to go outsude across the muddy parking lot and back while tracking more sand and dirt into your room. The restaurant was short staffed and training a new cook that served me a BLT sandwich which stood for Burnt Lettuce and Tomato. 11 Finally the price you pay to stay in this room was not worth it. Again if we didn't have our dog with us adn we stayed in the Inn itself it would have been fine. Or if they offered the bunk house rooms for half the rate that would have been fine too.
Just stay out of...
