Enigma VT - Escape Room — Attraction in Stowe

Our group having done over 70 escape rooms combined, unfortunately the room we did here (Quest for the Throne) was just badly put together. The puzzles were linear and unimaginative. The room looked unfinished with exposed board walls and overall just a lazy design. I recommend you give your money to another business such as the escape room in Williston.

Edit in response to the owner's reply: First of all, just because you buy a well designed game does not mean that you implemented it in a reasonable way. The room is unfinished. The walls are exposed chipboard and the execution is just poor quality. I could forgive this if the puzzles were mind-blowing but those fall short too.

For the sake of it, I looked up other businesses that purchased the same game from you and exactly zero of them have a 0% escape rate. You've just made the game too long for the time period. I would encourage you to not take my criticism personally and instead look at your business from the customer's point of view. Try experimenting with removing steps or easing some of the puzzles. For a difficult room you should be aiming for around a 5-15% escape rate.

For clarity, our group got the second furthest of any group to play the room at the time. This means we saw the majority of the puzzles and even had the game master step us through the remaining puzzles to see what we would have needed to do. Therefore, no, the room is essentially linear with only one instance of two puzzles able to be worked on at once.

We were on our annual family trip and decided to do an escape room in the area. We chose to do "Santa's Study". When we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who provided a great introduction to the game. We watched three videos before entering the game room.

The element of having to use a tablet to verify if your guess is correct was new to us. But after a few tries, we got the hang of it and understood its purpose. This was a challenging one as we were so close to escaping. The game master was helpful along the way, giving us clues when he saw we were stuck.

This was the first escape room we have been to and it was a great experience. It was challenging but so much fun and the game master was so extremely helpful and made the experience so enjoyable. He made everyone laugh and helped out to see the kids succeed! We will be back again to try the other rooms that are more challenging.
