I booked two manicures together about 10 days out. 45 minutes before our appointments, the salon called to tell us that they double booked us but could we come a little early and they could start one early as to be able to get both in. We live about 30 mins away so I told them we could leave right then and be 15 minutes early but we needed to be done on time. They said that would be great and that they could get us both in then. We arrived 15 minutes before our scheduled appointment. We were shown right into the nail area and told they would start with one and the other manicurist would be in shortly. Well no one else ever came. The front desk person came in a couple of times to say it would be just a few more minutes. 25 minutes AFTER our 30 minute appointment was supposed to start, we had one manicure done and no other manicurist. So we decided to just leave since we no longer had time (which they knew. I said it once on the phone when they called and again when we arrived). Obviously frustrated, I said to the front desk person that it was really disappointing. She said that it wasn't their fault that things were double booked and that someone else needed an unscheduled blow-out (um... what?) and that I should be glad I only had to pay for one manicure (as if that was a favor to not have to pay for the service we never got). There was no real apology or any effort to make things right. It was a giant waste of time and an incredibly frustrating experience. I would think they would at least offer a discount on the one manicure or a gift card to come back. Nada. I sat there for 45 minutes waiting for my scheduled appointment and never received...
   Read morePLEASE READ: This was, by far, the most traumatic salon experience Iâve ever had. I booked an appointment with Jenn for a partial highlight â it was my first and last visit to this salon.
During the appointment, the application process was painful; I could actually feel my scalp burning. Then, while I was sitting in the chair with foils in my hair, Jenn told me she needed to leave to let her dogs out. She told me that she didnât live far and would be back in time to rinse - this was unbelievably unprofessional and reckless.
Six months later, Iâm still dealing with the aftermath. The bleach was left on far too long, and the stress to my scalp triggered telogen effluvium.. Iâve lost so much hair, and Iâll be working on recovery for at least a year.
This experience has left me devastated and emotionally drained. Please, DO NOT RISK your hair or your health at this salon. What happened to me should never happen to...
