Been coming here for years and always recommended to others. The front office personnel unfortunately have ruined it for me and I am embarrassed for recommending them. I have had to reschedule my annual screening appt 3 times due to an anticipated change in insurance due to selling our company. The bad experience was on Jan3. I had called on Jan2 to reschedule since I did not have our new ID cards yet. They ran my insurance info I had received over the phone and said I was confirmed for coverage in their system and to bring the info on the day of the appt and to not worry about the card. Showed up at 8 am driving through raining morning commute and the staff gives me a hard time about not having the physical card. Managed to call the benefits person at my husbands office and they helped me set up my online access so I could show them a copy of my card on the website. Office said that would work. Once I sat down, now late for my appt time, she looked at my phone for a second to make sure it looked like a card and that was it, no looking and comparing info to see if it was correct. I asked her if the info was correct in the system since she only glanced at it and she said yes. There is no way she could see the info from 4 feet way in a matter of two seconds. A asked about how I haven’t been getting reminders and was told they don’t do that anymore. They had tried texting everyone but we’re getting incorrect info. I also said I normally get one if I log into MyChart and this time there was anything. Normally there will be a “letter” with the appointment info and the cost if there is any to me. Once I was processed (now really past my appt) I was taken back to the changing rooms and was never told how to undress or to not have on deodorant, I couldn’t even tell you where the wipes were if I had any on. Once the tech came and got me it was a totally different story. They were amazing as always but was a little surprised when I said I was glad I knew the process since no one told me how to undress (just top and bra) and to clean off any Deo. So frustrating these days that people can’t be problem...
Read moreThis has been one of the worst healthcare experiences of my life. I worked with two different schedulers who were both unhelpful, very rude, and quite unprofessional. This is a very difficult and emotional time for me as is for all, I’m sure. However, my experience with the schedulers only upset me more and caused me great stress.
After weeks of trying to get information on what was going on with my appointment (schedulers were often unable to be reached and did not return calls), the day of, I was rescheduled for a month later.
After multiple poor encounters with the schedulers, I called the main scheduling center and asked to speak to the supervisor. The supervisor told me that she hadn’t received any complaints about the schedulers (which I didn’t ask about). However, she was helpful in the end providing me with an update regarding my appointment and mentioning that she would share my feedback with the schedulers and their manager.
Although I don’t trust that anything will be done about this, I do hope that something is. It is absolutely not ok to have such a poor standard of patient interaction in any domain of healthcare. These interactions greatly and negatively contributed to both my mental and...
Read moreI had a very good experience with them. And I highly recommend Houston Methodist Breast Care Center in Sugar Land. It was my first time to be seen here. They were very organized and had a system in place. When I phoned to schedule my mammogram, April picked up and took my information, and gave me some dates to choose from. On the day of my appointment, I quickly found the clinic (just across from the AMC theater). I was able to park in front, but there's also a parking structure on the side. It's a very nice clinic. I was helped by Kim when I checked-in. And the registrar, Lillian, was just wonderful! The waiting area was beautiful and relaxing, with coffee & tea or water to enjoy; various magazines, and wifi were also available for one's enjoyment while waiting. When I was called in, there was a dressing area and nice, clean lockers for my stuff. Oh, and the robe they provided was very nice - it was not the usual hospital gown. Lisa did a great job, and she was just an expert in conducting the mammogram test using a machine that looked brand new. They said goodbye on my way out like they were glad to have me and the other ladies there. I appreciate that! This will be my go-to for all my...
