There's really nothing "bad" to say about this location of India Cash & Carry, when you take into account the savings. Can it be a little cleaner, yes; can the employees be a little nicer; especially the ones not behind the registers who are not always helpful.
I agree the worst is probably the long lines, but that's the reason why everyone loves coming here. I can't really fault IC&V for this; well, ask yourself: would you rather have no lines but pricy or some waiting but great prices. Case in point: take a gallon of milk for example... Other than Costco, if you're single & having trouble finishing a gallon (let alone TWO!!), you're lucky if you can find a gallon of milk costs less than a gallon of gas. Well, at IC&C, I can get a gallon of Sahara Milk, with quality very similar to any ORGANIC equivalent at $3.95 EACH, AMAZING!!!
The prices get even better when the weekend comes, please sign up for their weekly weekend specials via text notifications in order not to miss out. Some examples are: Cilantro: $0.29/bunch Singhua: $0.79/lb Spinach: $0.89/bag Cucumber đ„: $0.35/each Green Onion: $0.49/bunch
They also got plenty of varieties in rice from Thai Jasmine to Japanese Sushi to, of course, Indian preferred Basmati. While awaiting in line to check out, you can check out the Indian treats area just you reach the cash registers, where they'd bring yummy Indian treats freshly made by their indoor food deli counter on the side of the supermarket. Also, unlike some smaller Asian grocery stores, where they'll charge a service fee for using credit cards (if less than a certain amountđđ), here you can pay using credit cards or GooglePayïŒ ApplePay, etc with no limitđđ IC&C is a major chain, they're not fussing with such a small thing; unlike Wolfe Bazar on Old South San Francisco at Fair Oaks in...
Read moreThis is a typical Indian grocery store. You will find everything from Spices to food grains, pack food to frozen food, frozen vegtable, fresh vegetables, Indian snacks, packaged Indian snacks of several variety and brands, cookware, Indian deserts and a very tasty and reasonable vegetarian meals to go from their own clean and daily serving kitchen. If you are a vegetarian individual, this is a one stop store. This place carry 99.9% of vegetarian products. It also carries herbal and ayurvedic (ancient) indian medicine which is available off the counter and does not require an ID card as none of those medicines consists of any serious drugs. These are all natural and plant based medicines. They also carry Indian brands of different health care and beauty products. They have a variety of fresh produce ad well. Other Indian religious products and idols of Gods and Goddesses can also be find here. It get really crowded during evenings and weekends. And the checkout lines can be very long and store can be really packed. So I suggest to avoid the crazy crowd one must go to this store during day time on weekdays. lots of parking available but again on weekends you might not find a single spot. There are at least 10 checkout counters so things move fast. There is an express checkout counter where they only accept cash so there you go. I gave it a four star because things are bit disorganized and crazy in there. If you are not from the mainland India then trust me you will feel little alienated. But don't worry, Indian people are just little different and do not mean any harm...

Disgusting management, worst experience I bought an egg cake on Friday July 26th, ate a piece of it and had stomachache all day. And when I went to the store manager to complain on Sunday July 28th, he totally denied to take it back. Although it has fungus and also had a foul smell coming from the cake but he said he couldnât see anything and said it was stocked on Saturday and cannot go bad. Although I had a bill for Friday. I used to go to New India Bazar, but thought cash and carry is close to my house and started going there. Was my mistake . Never recommend to go there now. Worst service, unprofessional staff and store is always dirty.
I had many cases before as well, like I bought toothpaste and when I reached home and checked it was of expired date. They had expired milk and what not.
Once my husband went to the store to buy pani puri but by mistake Panipuri box fell on the floor from him and all the pani puris were on the floor. Instead of throwing away those pani puris, the owner asked someone to collect them and passed them to the pani puri stall outside the store. Thatâs ridiculous and unacceptable. He just came back without buying any pani puris after watching all this.
There are so many instances like this happened but now I decided never go to this...
