Topsail Island Trading Company — Attraction in Surf City

I have bought their fudge for years but I will NEVER purchase or recommend them again. I purchased 2 pounds of their fudge on 3/13/18 and received a notice that shipment would be received in 2 days. It never came. I called and told them of the issue and they told me it was no longer their concern, I had to take it up with the post office. My point was I had ordered from them and I did not receive the product. They chose the shipping company, they should refill my order and submit a claim to them. The Topsail Island Trading Company representative then told me they were busy and wished me good luck with the claim.

UPDATE: It has been over a month and my $40 claim with the USPS is still going back and forth. This whole process has been a nightmare. Topsail Island Trading Company's offer of a free fudge coupon when I visit again feels like another slap in the face. I wouldn't have ordered it online if I was able to pick it up myself. I’ve been coming here for 50 yrs. I bought 3 lbs. of my favorite fudge, Cherry Nut Cheesecake, to take home. When I got home and opened the fudge, I was shocked. It was not the same. It was dark and sour-tasting and clearly not the same Cherry Nut Cheesecake that I had bought in the past. I dropped the Fudge Master a note on their website, letting him know of my disappointment and that I was wasting $50+ on fudge that I did not want. He explained that they had to change the recipe-for good reason. He is shipping me another one of my favorites to make up for the Revised Cherry Nut Cheesecake. My family had visited the Topsail for 19 years and loved the Topsail Trading Company. It was my kids(and mine) favorite place to go. Loved the bubble gum machine with the hope of free fudge and my daughter loved to play the piano. I had a little hiccup with an order at Christmas. I called and the woman who waited on me was lovely. Not only did she refund my money, but when I got back after a trip at Christmas - to my complete surprise was my fudge order in full!! How wonderful was that!! Now that is superb business.
