I am writing this as a pregnant mother who has endured blatant misconduct, gross negligence, and what appears to be deliberate retaliation by Tampa Housing Authority staff ā especially Housing Specialist Tiara Dellamar ā with full knowledge and inaction by her supervisors. I was issued a Section 8 transfer voucher without a supervisorās signature, which Ms. Dellamar admitted during a Zoom call. I should have known then that my rights were already being bypassed. What followed has been months of emotional abuse: unanswered emails, ignored safety concerns about pest infestation and ceiling collapse, and delays in processing my RTA (Request for Tenancy Approval). All while I was pregnant, and despite multiple reports of domestic violence ā visual proof of which was shared with THA as far back as 2024 and ignored. On June 30, 2025, I received an email from Ms. Dellamar stating that my RTA had been approved. Keep in mind she got it June 25th. June 30th is well over what the guidelines require as far as RTA processing. Yet, mere minutes later, I received a backdated Notice of Intent to Terminate my voucher ā despite no due process, no accommodations, and no investigation. This is retaliation, plain and simple. The timing is not coincidental. This is also not the first time I have submitted complaints against Ms. Dellamar. Her pattern of delay, obstruction, and misconduct has been visible to supervisors like Ms. Martinez and Ms. Jones, who have done nothing. I have now formally demanded: Full reversal of the June 27th termination Acknowledgment of my pregnancy and disability accommodations Immediate enforcement of the approved RTA An internal investigation into why no supervisor intervened despite ongoing complaints Let this be known: I will not be silent. I have submitted certified complaints to HUD, the Office of Fair Housing, and the Office of Civil Rights. I am preparing to file a civil suit for housing discrimination, failure to accommodate, and retaliation in violation of federal law. The Tampa Housing Authority does not protect vulnerable tenants ā it targets them. And unless the leadership steps up and takes action, they will continue to face oversight, exposure, and legal consequences. Here is one of the formal legal notice I sent to Tampa Housing Authority after being ignored, retaliated against, and placed in unsafe housing while pregnant. This is not just about me ā itās about the many others theyāve done this to without anyone watching. I am standing up and making this public to hold them accountable.
Update: The lies just keep coming! Weather itās Ms.Dellamar or her supervisors! The two emails I received in one day conflicting the other. This clearly is a pattern and Iām disgusted at how they are operating as public servants.
Ms.Jones:You stated that āall relevant parties have been informedā of the unit inspection scheduled for July 14th. This is categorically false. I received no prior notice of the scheduled inspection until shortly before your email was received ā and my realtor had not been informed at all. In fact, I was the one who contacted the realtor after receiving your message, and they confirmed this was the first they had heard of it.
This directly contradicts your assertion and raises serious concerns about the transparency and handling of this process. The lack of timely and accurate communication not only places me at risk of losing the unit, but causes undue stress and confusion in a time-sensitive relocation effort ā which you are well aware is compounded by my pregnancy and vulnerable housing status. Additionally: Ms. Dellamar previously sent an out-of-office auto-reply indicating she was unavailable through July 8, yet responded in between without providing full updates or clarity. This is not the standard of āclear and consistent communicationā you referenced. It also does not reflect the urgency or procedural fairness expected under HUD and FHA guidelines for tenants in...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnprofessional, and more than than Unprofessional, they are uncaring, unsympathetic and down right liar's. Plus you can't speak to the president/ceo or the ceo's assistant even. They say they don't discriminate or aren't predjess but every time I myself a woman who is over 55 years old and on disability and has been on disability since 2005 and homeless, calls to check on my status on the wait list all I get is your still on the wait list, but there's other people on the wait list that have been on there longer than you, and other people that have 1, or 2 or 3 kids. I feel like they say that they aren't being discriminate but they are in a way. Because I need a one bedroom and because I don't have kids and because I am older on disability doesn't mean I am any less important as the next person or family and it shouldn't be a pool of people ( numbers) we a are human beings with feelings) The system really doesn't give a damn who you are and what Dyer situation you are in. No one cares.
