Ambiance Hair Salon — Attraction in Tarpon Springs

Went in blonde more of a yellow blonde and showed a pic from their site that was platinum and specified that I really wanted platinum blonde, white blonde etc. they said they had to do all over Ashe to cover the yellow and get it where it would be platinum when highlighted . I paid for and got the Ashe blonde ( I.e. brownish green) came back in two days later for “platinum” and left yellow and brown. It’s waaaay darker than when I went in! The point was to go lighter!

Very very nice people, very fair prices but I’m very disappointed and now ive paid for two trips there and have to go pay somewhere else to get my hair the color I asked for ! As she checked to see if was done she said, “ oh yes, time to rinse, that’s definitely platinum “! Ummm no . I only gave 3 stars because they are so darned nice ! the hair cut is a 4 stars, the color is a sad little 1 or 2.

In fairness the cosmetologist that colored my hair wasn’t there and someone else checked to see if it was ready to rinse. When my cosmetologist returned she seemed unhappy that the other girl had rinsed. It was true the one foil that she checked was ready , but the others were not and I think if they had left it on longer I probably would have got the result that I had asked for.

I have extreme social anxiety, and it's been incredibly difficult to convince myself to even try looking for a new hair salon after I lost my previous hair stylist to severe post-partum depression 3 years ago. I thought, based on the reviews, that this might be the place to finally break through my anxiety, and help me regain my confidence. I could not have been more wrong. I was there for 20 minutes in the small lobby area without ever being acknowledged. There were 5 stylists working in front of me. My past experience has been that when ladies were working, someone would at least turn their head and offer a word of welcome. Or any word at all to show they were aware of my existence. Not the case here. This was my first attempt in 3 years to overcome mental health issues that cause me intense impairment. Instead, the experience made everything worse. Who knows how many more years it will now take me to build the courage to make another attempt at basic self-care. I wish I could give 0 stars. I have never been made to...

I paid to get whole head foil. I got half top of head done only. Christina made my biggest fear of my hair turning orange & brassy come true. She also put a few extensions in.. and one fell out the next day. I have been a loyal customer of hers for over a year after moving to Florida and I walked out crying. She never apologized but said she will put toner in it…. And was going to charge me 33.00 after i already spent 253.00 and am embarrassed of my hair color. Im shocked at the way she had treated a loyal client. I have recommended a neighbor to her as well. I am very upset and walked out crying. I wish she just would admit it was ORANGE and said she was sorry. She was going redo in another week from today and make me wait for her mistake. Ill never go back. Christina is not a blonde colorist like she told me. I will be asking for a refund from the color and the extensions that fell out. Thank ypu christina.. i really liked you and trusted you.! Thats no way...
