Wow, I came on here to read the reviews and decide if I wanted to leave one. Since it appears my bad experience was not unique, I thought I should add mine in the hopes that the owners might address this potentially serious issue. My wife and I live in Tarpon and go out downtown several times a week, and we were excited to check out the latest offering. As soon as we entered we were approached by an employee who stated that this was a “high end” establishment and we couldn’t come in. I literally stared at him and smiled for about ten seconds waiting for the punchline. Apparently he viewed my incredulous response as aggressive, so he offered to have either the owner or manager (can’t remember which) come and kick us out. I declined his offer and told him there was no need to bother anyone else and that his attitude was reason enough for us to leave. I shouldn’t have to add the following, but since their staff used the term “high end” as the reason for kicking us out, here goes: my wife and I are both professionals and business owners, we were not drunk/rude/loud in any way, I was wearing a white linen button-down shirt with khaki shorts and Topsiders, and my wife was wearing a nice dress and sandals, and our income puts us in the top 1-2% in the US. It seems tacky to have to mention these things in a review, but I’m not sure how much more “high end” we need to be to enter a mid-range cocktail bar in small town Florida. After relating this incident to a few of our friends, they’ve posited that perhaps my wife’s skin tone (she is not white) may have been a factor? I really hope this isn’t the case, but I’m not naïve enough to exclude racism as a potential motivation in 21st century America. Regardless of their motives, I’d appreciate a better explanation than “high end”, so perhaps the owners...

We thought this place is new open in local and just be supportive and trying out to see if there could be our add on new fav place in neighborhood since my husband and I are going out frequently.
The guy who I assume a manager told us “ Folks you guys need to get out. this place is HIGH END ONLY”
Excuse me???? Yes we had our little scooter 🛴 with us and didn’t know we cannot keep it safe in the corner of inside. We could park outside but those scooters are easy to steal.
He COULD HAVE SAID that scooter isn’t allowed inside. Then we were perfectly fine parking outside.
He DID NOT have to tell us “HIGH END ONLY” Me and my husband aren’t LOW END.
For my husband’s sake, he is a wonderful Dr, Me myself own businesses in Tampa Bay Area. If i want, We can buy out this place. And teach every employees about respect and manners.

Read moreI can’t say enough good things about The Twisted Orange—I absolutely loved this place! From the second I walked in, I felt completely at ease. The vibe is warm, relaxing, and instantly welcoming, the kind of spot you never want to leave.
What really blew me away was the staff. Not only were they incredibly friendly, but they worked together like a perfectly tuned team, making the whole experience feel effortless. Johnothan, the manager, made sure everything flowed smoothly and checked in like an old friend. Yuri and Jordan crafted some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had—each one was spot-on and made with real care. Max, the bar back, was a quiet powerhouse, keeping everything running behind the scenes without missing a beat.
This is the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. Amazing drinks, an incredible team, and an atmosphere that just wraps around you—I’m already looking forward to...
