Unpleasant Experience at Med Fresh Grill
I am saddened to report that our visit to Med Fresh Grill was far from satisfactory. From the moment we stepped inside, the vibe was unwelcoming, particularly towards my sisters who were wearing hijabs. We are all equal, and it is disheartening to see that some people do not understand this.
We were greeted not with smiles and warm welcomes, but with uncomfortable side glances and a palpable air of tension. My sisters felt judged for their choice of attire, which led to a very unpleasant dining experience for all of us. It is troubling to think that the staff, who are reportedly from Turkey, could potentially harbor such prejudices.
Even the younger members of our family felt the coldness in the air. My nephews and niece, excited as they were for the meal, ended up feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. This is not the kind of experience we were expecting, and it certainly is not the kind of environment we would like our children to be in.
To add to this already disappointing experience, the food we consumed led to my sisters falling ill soon after. They are still suffering the after-effects the following morning, which points to serious issues with food hygiene and safety at the restaurant.
In this day and age, it is crucial for restaurants to maintain high standards in food preparation and hygiene. Equally, they should be promoting a warm, welcoming environment for patrons of all backgrounds. No one should ever feel uncomfortable or unwelcome based on their choice of attire or personal beliefs.
I regret having to leave this 1-star review, but I believe it is necessary to shed light on our experience. I hope Med Fresh Grill takes this feedback seriously and makes efforts to improve both their food safety standards and their overall approach to customer service.
Improvement and growth should be at the core of every establishment. I sincerely hope Med Fresh Grill learns from our experience and evolves into a more inclusive and welcoming restaurant for all patrons...
Read moreA friendly competent staff, a little high priced but they are paying Mill Ave rent. It was clean and had a good menu. I ordered a special the Gyro sandwich plater for $11-12 dollars other than the gyro you get a small, refillable fountain or tea beverage. You have a choice of French fries, Saffron rice, or side salad. The pita was very hard, it was hard to chew and got stuck in my esophagus. The pita literally took hours of drinking water and walking to get it to go down. The beef had very little spice and while the menu board picture showed a gyro stuff with meat the offering was 6 slices, of on the dry side meat, lettuce leaves, pickled onions. I ordered an extra side of the taziki sauce which was made perfectly, but was a very small amount even with 2 sides. There was not enough to help moisten the dry meal or kick the flavor up a notch. I would not eat here again based upon the cheap quantities lack of flavor, and poor quality food. There was another issue that for my personal choice was a deal killer. Although, People with little children may like this about the resturant. At 6:30 on a Sunday night there was no chance to unwind and have a relaxing dinner. There were 6 little children running around the tables making noise at top volume. Screaming at the top of their abilities at times. Without much parent supervision. I stayed a while trying to clear the dry pita bread so I could eat my meal. It turns out there were customers, possibly friends of the owners, who were there eating. The men were on the patio. The women in an after dinner chat. All speaking their foreign language. Other than myself, there were 2 to 3 customers with out kids or from Turkey. The others all dined fast and escaped into the twilight. There are many places with in a block or two for much better...

I am writing this review with a heavy heart after our recent visit to this restaurant. We were hoping for an enjoyable dining experience but were met with an unwelcoming atmosphere towards our children, which greatly affected our overall experience.
The restaurant, despite presenting itself as a family-friendly establishment, failed to provide a comfortable environment for our children. The staff's response to our kids was marked by unnecessary side glances and a palpable sense of disapproval. As customers, we felt that our children were treated more as an inconvenience than as welcomed guests. This certainly made our dining experience far from enjoyable.
In the hospitality industry, it's not just about the food or the décor; the treatment of customers plays a significant role in shaping their experience. While we understand that a restaurant's clientele can be diverse, it is vital to maintain a respectful and welcoming attitude towards all, including young children.
Given our experience, I feel compelled to state that we do not plan on returning to this restaurant. It's unfortunate, as we believe that with a more inclusive atmosphere and better staff training, this restaurant has the potential to be a fantastic dining destination for all.
