Popular Cuts Barber Shop — Attraction in Tempe

First of all, I'm a very picky customer when it comes to getting a haircut and fixing my beard. I've lived in AZ for six years, and used to hop from one barber shop to another but never been satisfied by one barber. Until three years ago, I started coming to Popular cuts and Ahmed (the original barber) is the one who cuts my hair. Ahmed understood what I want from the first cut he did to me. He knows exactly what he is doing specially when it comes to fades and beard. He is very talented and clean. He focuses on the small details and never let you go home unsatisfied. Came in with long hair looking to get a mid fade but was immediately turned away by who I assume was the owner.

Guy took one look at me and said my hair was too long to cut and that it would require two cuts. I offered to pay extra but he flat out refused and gave me little regard. Just straight up said he won’t do it.

This is unfortunate as I was really looking forward to coming here based on all the positive reviews this place got.

I understand that long hair cuts can require a little more work on the barber end, but I literally offered to pay more.

I used to go to this place to get my hair cut... but I'm really never going back! I love my long hair, I went to get it cut and asked for a typer, and my hair came out super short with no shape, and almost a school or military type, I recommended this place for a long time... but I leave with a bad experience and that even the young man who apparently is new did not recognize his mistake and tried to comb my hair in a way that is not what I asked for, but it was to hide that he cut my hair much more than I asked for.. in the end you pay 30 dlls for a bad service and not recognize that he was wrong.. shows they only...
