Highly recommend! Tom is very helpful and has deep product knowledge of various practical details. I bought a custom fabric American Leather sleeper sofa - it delivered super fast/earlier than expected... 2.5 weeks! I found Contemporary Lifestyles on the American Leather website as an authorized retailer. I've driven by many times but never had a reason to visit. I was interested in an American Leather sleeper sofa after reading their great reviews on NY Times Wirecutter and elsewhere. I saw one at Room & Board but was on the fence. On a whim I called Contemporary Lifestyles to ask if they had any sleeper sofas on the floor. Tom answered. He immediately shared very helpful details about what he had on the floor and relevant information about the sofas from which mattress styles were on the floor to impending price increases (which I already knew from my online research but appreciated his mentioning). I appreciated how straightforward he was, without trying to be persuasive, and appreciated he'd get into details with me by phone without knowing me. Tom happily showed me the sofas when I visited - loved how he pointed out very relevant differences between offerings - I'd done my research prior and he was spot on. He shared practical advice and no fluff. All of this to say ... Tom knows his products and is helpful! He even pointed out which performance fabrics were the least expensive etc. Delivery was FAST and professional. The custom ordered item was in our home in 2.5 weeks. For what it's worth I also visited these sofas at HD Buttercup Culver City. Tom was MUCH more knowledgable and happily demo'd the different styles on the floor. I bought a loveseat sofa, a coffee table, and a Stressless recliner from Contemporary Lifestyles Furniture. Both Tom and Jean have been very professional and patient in introducing their furniture, telling us the difference between different models, and letting us take our time trying the furniture we want.

I received my furniture approximately after 8 weeks, and my wife and I have really enjoyed them so far. The quality feels really good (you get what you paid for that kind of feel), but I can not speak for the durability and longevity yet as I just received them. Hopefully they can last for at least a decade. Note that certain furniture from Europe (e.g., Stressless, Natuzzi, etc.) may take a very long time to arrive especially if you want to customize them. So be sure to plan/shop ahead.

Also, the delivery company/mover they work with, Valadez Enrique, is very professional and courteous. They handled the furniture with extreme care, and did their best to align the furniture and not getting our carpet dirty. Will definitely use them for moving in the future.

Anyways, the whole furniture shopping experience has been good so far for me, and I would definitely come back again and refer the store...

Tom and his team were such a pleasure to work with! I had a specific dining table that I was interested in, but wanted to see it in person before purchasing. Contemporary Lifestyles carries the line (Copeland), so I called over to ask if they had the particular table in the showroom. Tom informed me that while they didn’t have the exact table, they had one on the floor with the same extension mechanism and the same wood finish. I visited the showroom and Tom was so helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I came in prepared to negotiate, but it was unnecessary - Tom informed me that he could special order the table I wanted, and he beat every price I found online, including temporary sale prices. No need for back & forth haggling, which I appreciated so much. He also never pressured me to buy, and I don’t know if I’ve ever made an easier, more straightforward furniture purchase. He confirmed the delivery window for me the following business day, and he continued to keep me updated during production. He has his own delivery team, who were professional and punctual.
