Torrance Promenade — Attraction in Torrance

The amount of times this "mall" had been transmogrified is astounding. I would say that in the early 80s, this place used to be far more family friendly. There was a beautiful merry-go-round ages ago that kids today will never experience, a theater where I got to see Star Wars during X-mas where they handed out figures, a small but delicious food court next to the theater, some rides (which you rarely see in malls), a little bookstore, the K-mart, the little cookie shop, etc. It's all gone.

The bulk of what replaced the mall these days is the UFC gym, which is pretty good last time I tried it, but this whole zone has no distinct characteristics compared to the version from the early 80s except for that gym. Even the old Sam Ash was a good addition here until it moved for one reason or another. Maybe the Spectrum store here since it's hard to find one closer to me? But hardly a reason to come here when the food mostly is unremarkable and most of the stores are bland, oversized and not worth the...

My reason why, i needed to a return a gift the line for return not bad @ all. But only 3 registers open, only one register moving fast and she was on fast pace. So i waited in that line 20, not to bad but i believe should've have another registered open. Because the other lines was very huge, lucky me only return a gift. Ok all done she gave me store credit, 1st asked if I'm ok with it. I was sure no problem, she hoping wouldn't snap on her why should I nope! So i was looking into men's department, oh boy! Kind of empty me personally didn't waste no time! I left and as I'm walking out that line got longer! No buenos, they need some good hard workers like working @ a fast pace. This plaza's businesses include home improvement retailers, off-price department stores, bridal shops, gyms, groceries and fast food options. Located in a huge area with plenty of parking, but it easily becomes congested around noon and in the evenings. It seems like there aren't enough paths or exits for traffic to move efficiently.
