Not usually one to write a bad review, but this theater has ruined too many midnight releases for me. They are disorganized, overpriced (not really their fault for the price because it’s a regal and not privately owned) but the price does NOT reflect the experience. the first bad experience i had here was due to a theater closure. They reseated everyone in a different theater that was already showing the same movie at the same time. Seats I had chosen weeks in advance were gone and i was given a new seat number, which i couldn’t double check when there were people sitting in my seats because the theater has no cell reception and no wi-fi available to guests. I figured this was a one-off bad experience due to technical issues, which I understand happens to everyone, but after changing my seat and not helping me find my new seats and get the people sitting in them out, the audio quality in the theater was atrocious and the screen was washed out making bright scenes appear entirely white. I literally had a better A/V setup in my college dorm room. I have tried to see blockbuster movies here again and the quality issues were still present. Thankfully sag cinema shows big movies for the first few weeks of them being out or i would be out a movie theater without driving 50 miles. Do not go to this theater if you actually...
Read moreTheater experience was great. It was a very young team, and surprisingly, they were very professional and helpful. I wish I engender both their names but only recall Elijah, and the other was a tall, slender white male. This was around 3pm. The latter helped me with the sale of the ticket, then later, Elijah adjusted me patiently and kindly in using my App to use my rewards and he provided additional, helpful information. I purchased more items at the concession stand due to his helpfulness. Whenever Elijah saw me and he wasn't assisting anyone, but working on other tasks, he checked in to ensure everything was OK and I was enjoying my experience. I was moving around a lot because the parking was making me very uncomfortable. I wish the theater had it's own parking or that you could use your paystub to place in your car window to avoid parking tickets. No fault of the theater, but the policing of parking is a bit overdone and can make visitors (and I'm sure residents) feel uncomfortable. I had to leave the movie at least twice and miss the ending and extras because the parking was causing me anxiety. Anyway, overall theater visit is one of my top 5, and I frequent Regal often (just always forget to use my rewards so happy both youth inquired and assisted...
Read moreI'm surprised by many of these reviews. First of all, the movie theater has no control over the antiquated and frustrating rules of East Hampton Village. They do not control parking restrictions, the village does. Just park in long term (it's just slightly further). Second, the prices. They are essentially set by Regal/United Artists, and it's not as if the prices are all that more expensive than any other theater. That's the going rate! And with regards to the staff, everyone I've encountered in the ten years of going to this theater is fine and generally very pleasant. Theater itself is always clean, hardly any technical issues I can recall, and it's no frills but what more do you need to enjoy a good movie? Crowds are noticeable in the summer, but it's the Hamptons - what do you expect? Buy a ticket on the app and beat the line. Typically a great selection as they try to balance it with some art-house movies and blockbusters. My only question - this is /was East Hampton 6 and there used to be a 6th screen upstairs which was so cool (had a balcony and all)- what...
