I recently made the decision to leave Walgreens for my prescription needs, and I feel compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, my time at this pharmacy was marked by incompetence, poor service, and a troubling lack of respect for customers.
One of the most frustrating issues was their communicationāor rather, the lack of it. Despite numerous attempts to reach them by phone regarding my prescriptions, my calls often went unanswered. When problems arose with my prescriptions, I was left in the dark, with no one reaching out to inform me of the issues. This was compounded by the fact that in-store and drive-thru customers frequently seemed to be ignored, a glaring oversight that left many of us feeling undervalued.
On several occasions, I reported unsafe practices to their corporate office, particularly concerning urgent prescriptions that were never filled. It was deeply concerning that neither I nor my family was notified about these critical issues.
Itās worth noting that Walgreens has a sign on their drive-thru window that states, āPlease do not honk or yell. The person you are speaking to is someoneās family.ā While I understand the sentiment, itās essential to remember that their customers are also someoneās family, often in need of urgent care.
In stark contrast, I recently switched to a locally-owned pharmacy, and the differences are night and day. Their sign proudly states, āCome on in! Youāre family!ā and thatās precisely how they treat their customersāwith kindness, respect, and genuine care.
Walgreens should take a long, hard look at their service and consider how they can improve. My experience has led me to believe that others would be wise to seek their pharmacy needs elsewhere. The level of care and professionalism Iāve found at my new pharmacy has made all the difference, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in search of a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI arrive at 11am for my 11:15 am appointment. I made an online appointment for COVID-19 testing. The 1st employee at the pharmacy tells me if I can come back around 11:30-11:40. I decided to just wait there. At 11:50 I go up to the counter. This time a different employee who was training fills my paperwork and asks for the payment when it was supposed to be free. I paid the $20 and was told to wait again. At 12:10, the 3rd employee the pharmacy lady with the blonde hair starts to give me excuses as to why the test can't be done after I waited an hour. This place is a joke. I wouldn't recommend going to this pharmacy for anything. A few other elderly people were told their medicine is ready on the phone and they show up It's not ready and they were being told to wait. I ended up just having my money refunded and wasting an hour. Worst experience ever. I did read the other reviews but I didn't have another choice as far as free cost testing & appointment timing but everything turned out completely opposite. Thank you everyone for leaving those reviews. They are legit. Horrible...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDo NOT use this pharmacy. I just waited on line for OVER 30 minutes for a script that was ready but they had to āre-do itā. I couldnāt even get lunch down the block because they took sooo long. Every time I go here, thereās an issue. Itās unacceptable to have to wait over 30 mins to get your medicine. Iāve never experienced this at any other pharmacy. I will definitely be changing pharmacies. I pressed the call button that was ignored the first time, I even waved at someone who was looking at me and they ignored me and kept walking. Poor service. I suggest to anyone who needs a pharmacy to not use this one. This left a very bad taste in my mouth. Even the lady behind me was very annoyed with how long they were taking. It doesnāt take long to look up a patient, get their medicine and give it to them. I am very unimpressed with this pharmacy. AND on top of that, they gave me my motherās medication and not mine. They knew my name (it was given to them with my DOB) and what I was getting and just decided to not give me mine. I...
