Adirondack Chocolates — Attraction in Town of North Elba

This place is not to be missed if you're a chocolate fan for so many reasons:

The selection. I mean, think of a flavor and it's there. My personal favorite is the arguably unusual dark chocolate lemon, but Adirondack Chocolates had it! Coconut, marzipan, fruits, nuts... and in your choice of white, milk, or dark chocolate. It took me a while to fill up my box.

The people. I took my time trying to decide what was coming home with me, and the people working at Adirondack Chocolates were kind, patient, and funny. Even though I walked out with an entire pound of chocolate, I honestly debated going back the next day just to say hi.

The quality. I've purchased a lot of chocolate in my time. Maybe too much. Sometimes you go to a chocolate shop and the fillings are sparse or lacking in flavor. Not at Adirondack Chocolates. The chocolate shell is thick and clearly good quality chocolate (I only purchased dark chocolate pieces so cannot speak to the milk or white varieties). Biting into every flavor I was hit with an abundance of flavorful filling. I think my personal favorites were the hazelnut, both types of raspberries (raspberry cream and raspberry truffle), and, of course, the lemon.

Thank you for your friendliness and your delicious treats! I drive past Lake Placid several times a year, but this was my first time actually staying in town. Now it looks like I'll need to stop each time I'm passing through just to load up...

Right on main street in Lake Placid. First of all, it smells wonderful in the shop! Who doesn't love chocolate?! The clerk was friendly and helpful. We bought maple sugar candy, dark chocolate with raspberry jelly filled candies and 2 kinds of fudge. Yummy! Not super expensive either. They have at least 50 varieties of chocolates... I swear! You will def find something you'll love in this shop. Highly recommend stopping in and sugaring up. We did and we weren't...

After having dinner, just walking casually and looking stores. Then come to this amazing chocolate store. Went inside and they have large varieties of chocolate and fudge. We bought some assortment of chocolates , special cups. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Store is very neat and clean.
