Stopped in for a quick lunch because the original Noon Mark has always been a favorite. There was a woman behind the counter who did not acknowledge us when we walked in so we used the kiosk order. We got three burgers with fries, two drinks, and a mini pie. While cute and tidy, it was about 90 degrees in there with a heater clearly cranking. Other diners who came in also commented on how hot it was and one group even asked for their food to go, choosing to eat outside (around 40 degrees) rather than roasting like us. Our food was ready quickly and was very good except for the complete lack of maple on the maple bacon burger. Staff did not tell us that we needed to grab our own drinks and pie so we just did it but that is definitely awkward. I’m not sure why they even had a counter person as she was not welcoming or helpful; just announced when an order was ready. I would definitely go back for a to go order but it is not pleasant to eat in a room that hot and the staff...
Read moreThe Noon Mark Burger & Pie joint opened since my last Lake Placid trip and as soon as I saw the sign on Main Street I knew I'd be stopping in. Being a fan of the original diner in Keene Valley, I knew the shop would be reliable comfort food at a reasonable price. I was still blown away by the flavor of my Maple Bacon Burger with fries. The smash burger patties are juicy, flavorful, and with just the right amount of crunch from the flat top. The bacon was perfect. The maple aioli, like all the great maple products in the village, was divine. The fries were just as good. The staff was super friendly. My first burger was good enough that I promptly came back the next day for the Noon Mark, and the pickles and mountain sauce made this burger its own revelation. This is the right place to stop for lunch while you're strolling through town -- and if you've just finished a hike, don't hesitate to get the Smash Mountain....
Read moreNoon Mark was recommended to us from a teammate. I’m glad we took their advice! We’ve had some ok meals here in Lake Placid but this was one of our favorites. It’s small place with limited seating, but they get you in and out fast. You can order via kiosk or cashier. I had the maple bacon burger and my son had the classic double, both with fries. We had our food within 5 minutes of ordering which surprised me. The fries were nice and crispy and to my liking. The burger, let me tell you, the burger was awesome. Juicy with that nice smash burger sear you expect. One of the best smash burgers I’ve had. The cheddar and maple bacon were excellent, both had great flavor. The bun was very lightly toasted and definitely added to the quality of the burger. Overall the food was top notch. I would recommend this place...
