Went here twice and had two very different customer service experiences. One amazing, one that was very unsatisfactory.
First time I went the man running the store at this time was incredibly helpful. I was interested in a magazine signed by 14 out of 15 Miracle on Ice hockey team players (this was a "big ticket" item as it was in a locked case at the register); and the shop attendant took the time to answer all my questions, politely allowed me to inspect the item, and even showed me other related items. Wonderful customer service! I wanted to think about the purchase a little bit more, so went home empty handed this day, but went to the shop the next day...
The next day I went to purchase the magazine, and had the shop attendant at this time (a different person) was rude. When I was checking out I asked if there were further ways to protect this collectors items (i.e. with bubble wrap, tissue paper, an additional box, ect) and was told bluntly no. I was pretty shocked that this "big ticket" purchase was not respected further with packaging materials to ensure the safety of the item when in travel. I find this courtesy is typically standard when purchasing "big ticket" collectors items. Moreover, when further browsing around the shop the attendant was unwelcoming, cold, and disrespectful. This was pretty shocking behavior toward me as I had just purchased one of the more expensive items in the store.
Overall, mixed customer service. If it was not for the polite gentleman I met the first day, I would have opted to find a different Miracle on Ice collectors item at another store with more...
Read moreI had an awful experience at this store today, and based on some of the other reviews, it looks like this is not uncommon. I went with my friend as we are visiting from out of state and he is very into comics and video games. He was looking at a store copy of a game on the PS2 and when he was done, he reloaded it so it would return to the PS2 home screen. He didn’t want to leave the game playing as it was not playing when he started. The store worker then came out from the front and went to the PS2. As he did, he said with an extremely disrespectful attitude, “So I have a question. If it was on when you came in, why would you turn it off?”. He then stomped away without allowing my friend to explain anything. One, my friend did not turn it off and it was loading into the home screen when the store worker approached us. I even watched the worker turn it off and then back on again before stomping off. 2, this made us feel extremely uncomfortable and we ended up leaving the store, even though we were planning on buying a few items. I have never been treated so disrespectfully before, let alone in this town. If I owned this establishment, I would 100% fire this man. I come here every year, and will not be returning...
Read moreHorrible people who own this place or work here. I saw them mistreat a woman because she took her mask off and handed it to them when she left. I have never seen anybody so rude to a customer. I underatand about covid, but that doesnt give you permission to be mean to people. The Woman wore the mask in the store like she was supposed to, and then on the way out she handed it back to a worker and he went off. Ill never shop here again and i hope anyone reading this doesnt either, rudeness and meanness shouldnt...
