First of all, this hotel is in a great location for hockey tournaments held at the Olympic rinks. Major issue is the parking, the lot is very tight with no ability to turn around. See attached photo. This makes getting out of the paeking lot very difficult if other cars are trying to get in and out. Note: there is no thru traffic so you are stuck if you get jammed. The bed I slept on had some stiff springs, which drove me nuts all night; however, my son slept well. It looks like they tried to renovate the rooms, which is good, but it still has 70's decor. The 70s green bathtub gave me flashbacks to my youth in 1976, luckily I have fond memories of my childhood, (especially the 80s). Wood paneling can be found throughout the building which looks old but it fits in with most of the hotels around here. The floors are very creaky, so I am thankful they put me on the 2nd floor. The only issue I ran into was the slope of the floor. My balance isn't very good in the dark and inclinations/declination can trip me when I am expecting a flat floor. These things aren't a big deal, I am just being honest. The parking was workable, but with drivers from Canada it can get very dicey.

We stayed here 4 nights in mid-September to explore the Adirondacks. It is an older property but it's quite charming, especially from the outside. There was a strong musty smell in the lobby, but it luckily did not carry into the very spacious breakfast room or our room, which was above the lobby. Our room had a view across the street to the Olympic Center. It had a king bed (very comfortable), with a couch and table/chairs. The shower was strong and had nice bath products. Be aware that the water is soft, which can mess with curly/wavy hair. The AC worked well. The breakfast had variety for the meat and eggs each day, but there were 4 kinds of bagels and no whole wheat bread or English muffins. The hotel's location was great for walking to restaurants in the evening. Mirror Lake, which is essentially out the back gate of the parking lot, has a very nice walking trail around it.

Decent hotel. Great location! This hotel is perfectly located in the village of Lake Placid. There is plenty of dining options just a short walk away. This hotel is kept very clean. The staff were very pleasant. The rooms are decent. The outside area on the second floor is a very nice option to have. The only set back for this hotel is the parking. The parking spots are setup for diagonal parking. At first it looks like you might be able to drive around the hotel. That is not the case. If you are not one of the first cars parked. Things get very tricky. I was able to get backed into a nice spot. So I was facing out towards the main road. If you are not as lucky. You will quickly discover your only way out is not easy. You will have to skillfully back out the way you drove in.

I was expecting a more up to date hotel, based on the pictures on the internet. There was a small hole on the inside of the bathroom door of our room, the toilet seat was missing one of two stand-offs and there were cheerios under the sofa. The bed and bedding was comfortable and clean. I paid extra for a balcony room, but the balcony was in my opinion in rough shape, safe but with weathered, painted plywood floors. Additionally our balcony overlooked the rear service lot, the roof to the pool and a private residence directly across the lot from us, not very scenic and not worth the up-charge we paid. The price was far too high ($217 plus $28 for fees and taxes) based on these things alone. We stayed on the second floor. Use caution because it's a split level stair case coming up from the lobby, also there's a strange ramp built next to the steps going up the second set of stairs toward the front of the building, which in my opinion is a fall hazard. The location is good, right across from the Olympic ice arena, close by shopping and dining. The staff was accommodating too since the pool shut early the first day we were there, and they let us check out later the next day so the kids could get a swim in. Overall, the stay was okay, and met most of our family needs but a price of $150 or less would be more reasonable for this place, and I've stayed at nicer places for less in this village. Maybe better attention to cleaning (during the Covid-19 pandemic) and maintenance would be welcome too. Also the place...

My stay at the Best Western Adirondack Inn was nothing short of marvelous! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, providing insights into the local area and catering to every need.

The room itself was a haven of tranquility. With plush bedding, modern amenities, and a view that took my breath away, it was the perfect retreat after a day of exploring Lake Placid. The cleanliness and attention to detail in the room were impeccable.

What truly set this Inn apart was its location. Nestled in the scenic beauty of the Adirondacks, it was a stone's throw away from the serene Mirror Lake and the bustling Main Street. Whether I wanted to indulge in outdoor activities or explore local shops and eateries, everything was within easy reach.

The complimentary breakfast was a delightful way to start the day. The variety and quality of food were excellent, with enough options to please any palate.

The highlight of my stay was the cozy, fireside lounge area. It was the perfect spot to unwind and mingle with other guests, sharing stories of our adventures in Lake Placid.

In conclusion, the Best Western Adirondack Inn isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience. It blends comfort, convenience, and the natural beauty of Lake Placid into an unforgettable getaway. I can't recommend it enough and can't...

Location Location Location! Conveniently tucked away at the beginning of the main downtown road where all the shops and restaurants are. The staff was very friendly and accommodated my boyfriend and I on a last minute reservation when every where else was fully booked. That being said we did pay $326.00 including tax which felt like a premium for being summer. The hotel was clean, and decor is meant to look like an antique cabin with lots of dark stained wood accents which I found to be charming giving the lake and ski feel this town has. The room was a premium king with balcony and had very high ceilings to make the room feel big. Bed was big and comfortable and only weird thing was the balcony is shared the length of the hotel so people can technically walk up to your door so we kept our curtains closed at night. The hotel has free parking, free to-go breakfast from 7-10am due to covid protocol and a nice swimming pool. I would say people were wearing masks and hotel was clean inside and out. Great access to mirror lake right next to it. Would say price is steep but for a best Western it's one of the better ones so pricing while not the best given area accomodations were good to make our...
