The Betty Ford Alpine Gardens in Vail, CO is an amazing place to spend a peaceful day surrounded by exquisite natural beauty. Right from the moment you enter the gardens, you are mesmerized by the beautiful landscapes and architecture. The gardens are extremely well-designed and maintained, providing visitors with a chance to stroll through magnificent wildflowers, trees, and grasses. Walking amidst the tall trees, flowing streams, and flowers of all colors and sizes felt therapeutic and calming. The sound of birds chirping added to the serene ambiance of the gardens and gave a feeling of being close to nature. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the many trails, benches and pavilions dotted throughout the gardens. The knowledgeable volunteers at Betty Ford Alpine Gardens were more than happy to share their wisdom and answer my questions, making the visit even more interesting and informative. Overall, it was an amazing experience that left me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I would highly recommend the Betty Ford Botanical Gardens to anyone visiting Vail, CO.

Nestled right next to Ford Park, this alpine botanical garden is a peaceful escape surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. The diversity of flowers and plants—many of which are native to high-altitude regions—is absolutely stunning. Every path feels like a discovery, with well-maintained trails, informational signs, and charming spots to pause and take it all in.

The garden is free to enter, which makes it even more special, and it’s perfect for a morning or afternoon stroll. Whether you’re a plant lover or just someone looking to enjoy nature at its finest, this place is a must-visit. It’s also incredibly family-friendly and great for all ages. Don’t forget to stop by the small visitor center to learn more about alpine ecosystems and conservation efforts.

The venue coordinator at the gardens named Ellen was extremely unprofessional and rude from the moment we arrived. She treated the clients like they were an inconvenience and she was emotionally unstable for unknown reasons. The gardens are gorgeous, the facility is clean, but the employee handling the event was very inhospitable and disrespectful. She involved her boyfriend in asking family to pack up the event items when there was no need for intervention. She called the police and the officer was confused as to what she was talking about.
